WoW Forever Level 30 DPS Tier List Overview

With all the changes Blizzard has made to classes, talents, and abilities in WoW Forever, DPS is looking VERY different from what we're used to in Classic. Since the Beta is capped at LV 30, some specs are missing important parts of their toolkit, while others are absolutely pumping. After running a TON of dungeons, looking through combat logs and simulations, and talking with experienced players from the different class communities, we've put together our WoW Forever Level 30 DPS Tier List to give you a pretty good idea of where every spec currently stands.

These rankings focus on overall dungeon performance, taking into account Single Target damage, Cleave, and AoE. Some specs absolutely DESTROY bosses but struggle with larger packs of mobs, while others are the complete opposite. We're looking at the bigger picture rather than just who can pump out the highest number on a single encounter.

Now, there are a few VERY important things to keep in mind. We're still in Beta, and these rankings are absolutely subject to change. Blizzard is constantly making adjustments, and with the current LV 30 cap a lot of classes are still missing crucial abilities and talents that will for sure completely change how they perform at LV 60.

Also, the available combat logs and simulations aren't perfect. Some simulations are missing important mechanics, and dungeon logs can be heavily influenced by gear, group composition, fight duration, and even bugs. Because of this, we're not basing these rankings purely on simulated DPS numbers. Instead, we're combining the available data with actual dungeon experience and feedback from players actively testing their classes.

And finally, just because your favorite spec isn't sitting in S or A Tier doesn't mean it's BAD or that you shouldn't play it. Player skill, gear, and knowing how to get the most out of your class can make a HUGE difference.

These are our current rankings based on everything we've seen and tested so far. As Blizzard continues balancing the game and we get access to more reliable data, we'll continue updating the list to reflect the current meta.

Spec Breakdown

S Tier: The Best DPS Specs

At the moment, Marksmanship Hunter is absolutely DOMINATING Level 30 PvE. Between its incredible Single Target damage, strong burst, and the amount of damage Hunters can dish out with their pets, it's pretty difficult to argue against Marksmanship being at the top.

One of the biggest advantages Hunters have right now is just how complete their toolkit feels at Level 30 compared to some of the other classes. With powerful ranged weapons even after the Truthseeker's Bow nerf. They have Feign Death, extremely strong pet scaling, and access to important talents, putting Marksmanship is in an incredibly good spot.

A Tier: Extremely Strong DPS

These specs are all performing REALLY well in the current Beta and aren't too far behind Marksmanship Hunter. Some are absolutely pumping on Single Target fights, while others bring some fantastic Cleave and AoE damage to dungeons.

One thing worth mentioning is that not every spec in A Tier excels at the same thing. Some perform significantly better on bosses, while others really start to shine when you're pulling multiple mobs together. Either way, these are some of the strongest DPS options available at Level 30.

B Tier: Solid DPS

B Tier is where things start to get a little more interesting. These specs are still perfectly capable of putting out good damage, but they tend to have some noticeable weaknesses compared to the classes above them. For some, it's their lack of AoE damage. For others, it's weaker Single Target performance, mana issues, or simply missing important talents and abilities at the current Level 30 cap.

That doesn't mean these specs are BAD by any means. In fact, some of them can absolutely pump in the right situations. They're just not quite as well rounded or consistently impressive as the specs sitting in S and A Tier.

C Tier: Struggling Right Now

Unfortunately, these specs are having a pretty rough time keeping up with the other Classes at Level 30. Some are missing crucial abilities or talents that make their builds work, while others just aren't putting out the same level of damage we're seeing from the stronger spec.

That being said, we're only at Level 30! There's still a TON of room for these specs to improve as we gain access to more talents, abilities, and gear. I wouldn't write any of them off just yet, especially with how frequently Blizzard has been making balance changes.
