In this wild run, Kripparrian was able to create a hybrid Mak + Vanessa builds due to Mak's synergies with Ammo and damage-over-time effects.
Hitting the "other Hero" items you need can be inconsistent so use this more as a lesson for how to capitalize on a rare but powerful pivot, rather than a build to plan around.
Due to Vanessa's potential starting item, Shovel, she can start to dig for Small items that she normally doesn't have access to.
In general, it's a good idea to have one in your Stash for econ generation but it can also provide you with rare pivot opportunities.
Besides the Shovel, you'll have to rely on PvE encounter drops or rare Vendors like Pearl's Dig Site.
Mak is an alchemist who specializes in potions that offer buffs and damage-over-time effects (DoTs).
Since the potions often require Ammo charges and since Vanessa has her own package of Burn/Poison items, they have inherent synergies.
The first Mak item Kripparian found was the Energy Potion, which is dropped from the Boilerroom Brawler PvE encounter (level 4) if the Shovel doesn't dig it up.
On its own, it's a great tech choice for aggressive builds that want to AoE Haste your board to kill your enemy ASAP, but it really shines if you can upgrade it with more Ammo (which Vanessa has plenty of access to).
Energy Potion
The second Mak item was Athanor, an incredibly powerful item for this build since it Reloads potions while also contributing Burn/Poison.
Kripp found it from Pearl's Dig Site but you can also get it from the Hulking Experiment PvE Encounter (level 10).

The last Mak item used was the Rainbow Potion - it dropped from the Master Alchemist PvE encounter (level 10) but can also be dropped from Trash Golem (level 7) and Hulking Experiment (level 10).
Rainbow Potion is another powerful item as it Burns, Poisons, Freezes, AND Slows - with infinite reloads, it is just ridiculous.

Funny enough, Mak's items were the core of this build while Vanessa's items were more interchangeable.
The most important Vanessa item was the Shiny Star Chart which was used to enable and empower the Rainbow Potion and Athanor.
With its doubling effect, the Shiny Enchantment was a pretty significant hit and made Mak's items hit faster and harder.
The rest of the board was populated Small Items that contributed to the build's Burn Damage: Powder Flask, Pop Snappers, and Lighter.
Kripp's build didn't have too many skills, but you can look for anything that improves your Burn/Poison potential whether through damage scaling or buying time with stalling CC.
