The Bazaar Build
Kripp's Crit Core Dooley Build
Kripparrian
Dooley
Overview
Dooley is a hero that combines multiple mechanisms together in order to fuel its Core. Builds usually consist of many Small items, allowing for more individual triggers, and therefore more Charges to keep the engine moving.
This Dooley however takes that game plan to the next level. Instead of one Core, we have two.
Combat Core lets you take advantage of any “Use the Core” abilities, often doubling their output. Paired with the Critical Core, you’ll quickly scale up a ton of Damage while threatening critical hits on every attack!

Core Combos and Synergies
The Double Core Combo
One of Dooley’s best offensive Cores (if not the best) is the Critical Core. It has high damage potential due to its inherent Crit Chance, while also providing a static Crit buff to any items on its right side. The buff percentage scales with its tier, so make upgrading the Core a priority.
What truly makes the Critical Core stand out is its ability to Charge itself whenever you Crit with one of your items. Most Cores require items to be to their left in order to Charge it. However, thanks to this ability, your items can both benefit from the passive Crit buff and still keep the Core running at full capacity.
In general, most utility items should be placed to its left while the Combat Core is positioned on the right.
Kripp luckily acquired the Radiant enchant for his Critical Core. Since the Core is the centerpiece of the build, protecting it from Freeze/Slow/Destroy is amazing insurance against any pesky disruption. It’s excellent if you can find it, but not mandatory for the build.
Critical Core
Combat Core is one of Dooley’s best Damage scaling items. While it can also offer fantastic Shield scaling, this build is all about offense.
Position it on the far right side so that every other item can scale its Damage, and so it can benefit from the Crit Chance buff. Just like the Critical Core, upgrades are very important for the Combat Core in order to improve its rate of scaling.
All that said, even without placing any items to its right, it’s still very possible to grow its defenses with the right skills. Don’t worry, it’s not entirely glass cannon (see Supportive Items and Skills below for more details).
Combat Core
One of the best parts about having two Cores is that whenever you “Upgrade the Core”, BOTH items get upgraded at the same time. Make finding Combat Core your top priority early on to maximize your odds of getting the double upgrade.
The third most important piece of the build is the Remote Control. This Tool may not look like much on the surface, but it can trigger both Cores at the same time.
What’s even better is that it doesn’t interrupt or reset their current Cooldowns, meaning you can chain together multiple attacks for a huge burst in just a couple of seconds.
It’s worth noting that the Remote Control has a very long Cooldown, especially at lower tiers. Aim to upgrade it to at least Gold tier when possible.
Since Optimization Protocol (Upgrade the Core) exists, it could be worth using the guaranteed level 5/6 or 10/11 “leftmost” upgrade on the Remote Control, provided that your Cores aren’t too far behind.

Supportive Items and Skills
While many heroes rely on specific skills or items on board to provide Crit Chance, Dooley has a unique alternative method.
Schematics is an item that gives permanent Crit Chance to your Cores equal to its sell value. Its value increases each time you upgrade an item.
It can be worth holding onto some cheaper, unneeded items in your stash. This way you increase your odds at more upgrades to scale Schematics’ value.
Schematics
Kripp happened to find a Wrench from the Boilerroom Brawler PvE Encounter which made Schematics all the more reliable for his run.

Similar to Schematics, the Memory Card gives extra Damage to your Cores. However, this one is far more challenging to scale.
It’s ideally found later on at Gold or Diamond tier and is worth purchasing just to sell it immediately afterwards.
Kripp happened to find a Golden enchanted one from Seraphina (Sells Enchanted Items). This makes its sell value double its normal amount, further amplifying the Damage value.
Memory Card
The remainder of the build consists of Small utility items with short Cooldowns. First up is one of the earliest ones you’re likely to find, Duct Tape.
It’s Dooley’s staple Shield item that almost always finds a home. Positioned next to the Critical Core it will proc numerous times, and gets even better with Multicast on the other side.
Duct Tape
While normally a fantastic Burn item, Soldering Gun’s role with this build is to be a single slot Multicast item on a relatively short Cooldown. Keep it between a Tool and a Friend to trigger both Cores three times every use.
Soldering Gun
Despite the lack of overall Haste support in this build, First Aiden is still a great choice for its low Cooldown and its own Haste casting. Though most importantly it’s fulfilling the Friend requirement for Soldering Gun.
First Aiden
Cool LEDs is a strong and cheap disruption effect. It’s already powerful with just a single Core, but gets even crazier with two..
Cool LEDs
While it doesn’t need many upgrades to be effective, when trying to stack Slow, the difference between one second and two seconds is massive. So either upgrade it to Silver tier or find a Slow scaling junk item from the Curio (Sells bronze-tier junk items.) vendor to bring it up to two
Improvised Bludgeon
Kripp acquired this rare monster skill drop from the Death Knight Reaper PvE Encounter. It has incredibly powerful synergy with the Cores as they are Medium and Large sized Weapons with short Cooldowns and Remote Control support.
That combination alone will continuously Freeze the enemy board and keep many important items locked down and unusable.
Hypnotic Drain
Here are a few examples of excellent Shield skills that help improve this build’s defensive capabilities. Improvised Protection, Defensive Stance, and Titanium Casing more or less function the same way with this build (see below for their descriptions).
Essentially it equates to “Whenever you use a Core, scale your Shield”. This can quickly get out of hand with Duct Tape and Combat Core. The more skills you have available the faster it scales, so feel free to pick up as many as you can!
