PoE 2 Release Date

Path of Exile 2's Early Access released on December 6th, 2024.

There is currently no information on a full release for the game or how long Early Access will last.

Originally, the plan was to launch a beta, but the wording used is now “Early Access.” For all intents and purposes, the concept is the same, but in the past, it was called Closed Beta.

Early Access will feature 6 playable classes, 12 total Ascension classes (2 for each), 3 campaign acts (that you do twice), and a fully fleshed out endgame system.

How to Get Access to PoE 2 Early Access

Players will be able to purchase access to the Early Access through Supporter Packs. These packs come with premium currency that you can use to buy things like Stash Tabs or other microtransactions. You will get the full point value from these supporter packs, on top of an Early Access key.

Tip: GGG does a weekly sale on microtransactions, cycling through different types (armour, skill gem effects, stash tabs, etc). Save your points for a sale to maximize your purchases.

Free Key for Long-Time PoE Customers

If you've spent a lifetime total of $480 on PoE purchases, you will be given an Early Access key for free. This is to express gratitude for long time supporters of the game.

For those who haven't spent enough money in PoE 1 or are new PoE players, you will need to purchase a Supporter Pack. The lowest tier will start at $30 and go up. You can take a look at the supporter packs below or look at PoE's official site.

Supporter Packs

Supporter Packs help support the game and company, giving you premium currency (points) to spend on microtransactions. Each pack will come with unique skins/effects that are only available in these packs.

  • Purchasing a higher tier pack will grant you full contents from the lower tiers as well. Note that some of the higher tier packs come with multiple keys, allowing you to share with friends.
  • Some packs come with physical merchandise, such as a T-Shirt. You can opt out of these rewards to get more points instead.
  • You are able to upgrade to a higher tier pack.
  • Lastly, these microtransactions can be used in both PoE 1 and PoE 2.
