Explanations

S+ Tier

Plague Halberd

Overall the best melee weapon in the game. Its special ability is a high damage AoE and heals. Works in all scenarios - bosses, camps, boarding fights. Halberd has a good moveset with long range.

Dragon's Breath

The best ranged weapon in the game. Special attack does massive AoE damage on top of the already high damage of Blunderbuss, which is the best ranged weapon type.

S Tier

Reliable Blunderbuss

Another Blunderbuss which deals big damage. The knockback is at worst useful and at best extremely valuable versus certain enemies such as Plague Warriors.

Arboris Saber

Similar weapon effect to the Plague Halberd but smaller and doesn't heal. Scales with Strength so can use it alongside the Halberd if you wish.

Soul Eater

Best greatsword in the game. Greatsword has a strong weapon moveset with wide cleaves and a long range poke. Ability has a long cooldown but it works well as a secondary/support weapon.

Plague Pistol

Pistols in general are not great, but the weapon effect is very strong as a secondary for healing. Also fires 2 times per reload which isn't mentioned in the tool tip.

A Tier

Executioner

A stacking up to 30% crit chance buff which lasts 1 minute is very strong. Great weapon for clearing camps

Rapier of Devastation

Great single target weapon. At full 8 stacks does huge damage with heavy attack. Best versus bosses, but Blunderbuss is simply better in these cases.

Rapier of a Thousand Cuts

Has lower damage per hit than Rapier of Devastation, but bleed effect is very strong in single target.

Reliable Musket

Best Musket in the game with a faster reload and great accuracy compared to the others. While having lower damage than a Blunderbuss, this is still worth using while hitting enemies from range or hunting animals.

Blunderbuss

Even a regular Blunderbuss is still very strong and pumps out damage.

B Tier

Razor

Simple effect of increased Crit Chance. Nothing special but still solid, especially early-mid game.

Sturdy Halberd

Same as Razor, another strong early-mid weapon.

Stalwart Greatsword

Ability is unremarkable but Greatswords have great attack patterns so still decent.

Dueling Greatsword

Unreliable ability but saved by a strong attack pattern. If you are a god, this weapon gets a lot better.

C Tier

Cutlass

Applies a stacking damage buff for Pistols. Pistols are generally not great and the best one, the Plague Pistol, is mostly used for its utility.

Dueling Saber

Gives extra damage when Perfect Blocking. This buff can be hard to stack up but more importantly does not last very long and is removed when you take damage. Using Razor is just better.

Sturdy Rapier

+1 Posture point is barely better than a green weapon

Sturdy Saber

Same as Sturdy Rapier

Rapier/Saber/Greatsword/Halberd

Standard green weapons with no special effects. Use these to discover your preferred playstyle and attack patterns!

Buccaneer's Friend

Slightly more accurate than the Reliable Musket but its slower reload makes it a worse option.

Reliable Pistol

Firing 3 times before reload chews through ammo but makes it pump out better damage.

Drake's Double-Barreled Pistol

Very similar to the Reliable Pistol but less... reliable. Fires twice before needing to reload (though does reload faster), unfortunately sometimes fires twice in very quick succession hurting its consistency.

All Maces

Every Mace special effect is underwhelming. The weapon attack pattern is also nothing special.

D Tier

Infantry Musket

Poor accuracy for a musket. Has a melee attack that scales with Agility. Intended to be a good all round weapon, but is simply all round bad. Worse than green musket.

Pistol/Musket

Just poor overall weapons. Severely lacking, especially compared to Blunderbuss.

Worn-Out Pistol/Broken Blade

These are your starter weapons. Replace them when you can!
