The Invincible Bleed build in Windrose is the best build for staying alive. If you struggle with dying - or just want a cheesy way to cheat Davey Jones - this build is for you.
This build revolves around going with a tanky loadout and using the stacking bleed from the Rapier of a Thousand Cuts to heal through all the damage you take.

Build Details
The core item in this build is the Rapier of a Thousand Cuts. You will need to ascend the weapon to obtain its heal effect.
Most other items are beneficial to this build but not fully mandatory.
Weapons
The Rapier of a Thousand Cutsis the key piece of this build. Whenever you attack, you apply a stackable bleed. This debuff by itself deals consistent damage but most importantly, once ascended, will also contribute to healing your Temporal Health.
Your Temporal Health is the dark red portion of your health bar that appears whenever you take damage. It can be recovered by attacking enemies, negating some of the damage you previous took.
This interaction means that as long as you have the bleed effect stacked up you become much more harder to kill.
Weapon
Effect
Rapier of a Thousand Cuts
Dealing Damage applies Bleeding. Stacks up to 5 times. Each stack deals 25 Damage per second.
Bleed damage dealt while holding this weapon restores Temporal Health.
As the Rapier is a one handed weapon, there is room to also equip a pistol. The best option for this loadout is the Drake's Double Barreled Pistol. It is not needed for this build, but the Vulnerable effect applies to your bleed damage which in turn helps you heal more.
Weapon
Effect
Drake's Double Barreled Pistol
Can fire two quick shots in succession.
Shots apply Vulnerability effect to the target. All Damage dealt to affected targets is increased by 15%.
Armor
To be a truly unkillable pirate king, you will want to chose an armor set that boosts your defenses and healing. The three best armor sets that match this description are Conquistador's, Tracker's, and Pikeman.
Whereas all three have their merits, of these we find the best combination is to go 4 in Tracker's. This gives you a nice chunk of extra damage reduction while also boosting your healing.
Armor
Effect
Tracker's
2/2 Increases effectiveness of all healing by 35%
4/4 Increases Damage Resistance by 15%.
Damage reduction is marginally better than flat health as you will be healing for a flat amount of HP based off of your damage output. With damage reduction, you have less total health, but each health point effectively has more value as you receive less total incoming damage overall. This concept is know as Effective HP.
The 2 set bonus is most important for this build, so if you don't have 4 Tracker's you can mix and match with the Pikeman or Conquistador sets.
Accessories
Continuing with the theme of going tanky, you're going to pick up accessories that boost your health and give damage reduction.
Necklace
Necklace
Effect
Necklace of Vitality
Increases Vitality by 5-15
There is not much to break down with your necklace choice - each necklace boosts one of your stats, and the only stat that helps with your defense is Vitality, granting health.
You can opt for Endurance or Precision if you want more stamina or damage respectively.
Ring
Ring
Effect
Ring of Divine Protection
Increases damage resistance by 8%-12%
This is the only ring that offers a direct defensive benefit. If you don't have this, feel free to substitute it for any offensive option such as Spear Thrower's or Champion's Ring.
Stats
For your stats, put a majority of your points in Vitality and the rest split between Precision and Endurance. The specific points allotted will vary based on your level, but an example might be:
15 Vitality
5 Endurance
5 Precision

For Vitality:
Seafood Platter
Spicy "Chicken" with Sweet Potato
Fish and Tostones
Beans with Mushrooms and Sweet Potato

Elixir

There are alternative options that focus on damage output, such as the Elixir of Firm Hand or Elixir of Cruelty.
Playstyle
This build is all going aggressive and stacking bleeds. Thanks to your damage reduction and strong heals, you will be able to tank a lot of hits before needing to back off.
If you find yourself in a bit of a bind, you can retreat and let your bleed effect do the work for you while you heal up.
Tips:
In AoE fights, don't just focus one target down - stack your bleed on as many enemies as possible to maximise its damage.
Healing potions will also benefit from your various heal boosts.
