Palworld: Best Early Game Base Pals

In Palworld, managing an efficient base is all about knowing which Pals to put to work. This is a key part of early game progression, and will help kickstart your way towards a well automated setup.

The 1.0 update introduced many balance changes and additions, so let's dive in as we highlight some of the best Pals for your adventure. We'll be focusing primarily on level 1-30 content, so most of these shouldn't take you too long to discover.

Ranch Pals are your ticket to passive resource generation, allowing you to produce items naturally over time instead of having to hunt everything manually. Here's some of the best ones that you can find early into your exploration.

Wool

• Lamball, Cremis, and Melpaca all provide Wool, which is essential for spinning Cloth. Lamball is the first one you'll encounter, but either of the three are suitable early on.

Cake Ingredients

• Mozzarina produces Milk, Chikipi produces Eggs, both of which are commonly used to make Cakes (if you opt for Mushroom Cakes, you can skip Milk).
• Beegarde produces Honey, which is the most essential Cake ingredient. Additionally, Beegarde also has several great Work Suitabilities to make use of, making it a high priority Pal to obtain.

Note: Milk and Eggs can spoil over time, so don't produce more than you can carry. A Cooler Box can help preserve them.

Leather, Bones, & Oil

• Surfent can now produce Leather, making life much easier than before. It's also a great early source of Watering.
• Vixy and Cawgnito can dig up Bones. Vixy in particular will also provide resources like Pal Spheres, Gold, and Arrows.
• Dumud produces High Quality Pal Oil for crafting gear.

Organ, Fluid, & Glands

• Sparkit can sustain your electric supplies with its Electric Organs.
• Kelpsea is a crucial source of Aquatic Pal Fluids, which you'll be needing plenty of for crafting Cement and other things.
• Flambelle andRooby can produce Flame Organs, which fuel your torches and furnaces.
• Caprity Noct gives you Venom Glands if needed.
• Foxcicle produces Ice Organs, which can keep your Cooler active.

Base Aura Pals provide passive base-wide buffs to all of your other workers when deployed, making them incredibly useful for maximizing efficiency.

Hunger Control

• Woolipop reduces the hunger depletion rate for all Pals at your base, ultimately helping you save food. The initial value is -10%, but you can improve it by increasing its star level (or finding a Lucky variant).

Passive Auras

• Ribbuny — Handiwork +1
• Eikthyrdeer Terra — Lumbering +1
• Clovee — Gathering +1
• Cinnamoth — Farming +1

Cinnamoth is one of the greatest additions by far, as the Farming boost increases the yield of your Ranch Pals!

Jellroy & Jelliette

These two Pals work hand-in-hand, making Jellroy and Jelliette ideal for early game Watering. As you can see, both of them have the same text:
