The Banner of Banners is a mandatory story quest in Chapter 4. To craft the Ulu Mulu, the Orc Banner, players must find Tarrok, an Orc who is being held prisoner in the Free Mine, south of the New Camp.
NOTE: To craft the Ulu Mulu, players must also retrieve monster materials (see our guide here).
While in the New Camp, players might get a warning from another character that Gorn wants to see them at the entrance of the Free Mine, to free it from the Old Camp members who have taken residence inside. This guide assumes that the player is aiding the New Campers in taking back the mine, which are in the way to get to Tarrok.
To get to the Free Mine, follow the path that goes up from the New Camp Cave entrance.
Players might also find Wolf standing near the Free Mine, who will offer to make a Minecrawler Armor out of Minecrawler Plates. This will start the quest “The Minecrawler Armor”. It is recommended that players take down Minecrawler Warriors while in the Free Mine, as this armor is one of the best in the entire game.
Head to the Free Mine to find Jackal standing at the entrance. You’ll have to deal with him and his guards to get inside the mine. Then, open the mine gates with the key from Gorn.
Once in the mine, go forward until you find a group of Old Camp guards. Take them down and continue forward - Do not drop into the level below. You’ll find a second group of Guards. You’ll have to take them down as well and then take the right path on the same level.
You’ll reach a shaft with several ladders. Go down until the lowest level and take out any guards in your way.
Take the path forward, and you’ll reach the final area with Old Camp Guards. Take them all down and then talk to Gorn, who will thank you and go back into the mine entrance.
You have some more business to take care of here - Finding Tarrok and crafting the Ulu Mulu, and taking down Minecrawlers to get the armor.
Where to Find Tarrok
To find Tarrok, follow the planks to the left of the room and enter the side tunnel.
Take the path down the planks until you reach a shallow lake. You’ll find two Minecrawlers on your way there. Tarrok is in the room to your left, up the rocks. There is a tunnel to your right that will lead you to several Minecrawlers, from which you can extract plenty of plates.
Tarrok can be found in one of the cells in the forge room. Unlock his cell and talk to him. If you have the necessary materials, he will craft the Ulu Mulu for you. Wait for the short animation to be complete and take the Banner. This will complete “The Banner of Banners” quest.
With the Ulu Mulu in hand, meet Ur’Dak near the bridge to the Orc Enclave, in the Orc Territory. You can take the road south from the Old Camp or go North from the Xardas Tower. Once you enter the Orc Enclave, you’ll start Chapter 5: The Custodians of the Portal, and start the quest “The Path Chosen”.
