How to play

All of your damaging skills are back attacks, except your rifle skills, this means that you will need to constantly position yourself behind the boss to deal damage.

Before an encounter starts, you can build stacks by using skills such as (if you're stationary), and/or , and to move to the target whilst building stacks.


Part 1 - Set up damage with synergy

  • Make sure to maintain your synergy, every time you use one of your damaging skill the synergy should be active; , or .

Part 2 - Deal damage whilst synergy is active

If synergy is not active, you should change stance and proc it.

  • is your ultimate skill, you can use this for damage. Since this skill can be quite slow and is melee range, make sure the boss isn't going to jump away from it before casting.

Shotgun

  • It is recommended to use or if you need to use faster shotgun skills. This may be, for example, because the boss' current action is fast and you want to use that opportunity to do back attack damage.
  • Otherwise, if you are positive that you can land the slower skills, for example, if the boss is performing a longer action; or will provide great damage.
  • It is crucial to know what shotgun skill you can use and when because it will allow you to ensure that you are back attacking and getting the highest damage output possible.

Handgun

  • For handgun skills; or are your damaging skills.
  • These skills are also back attacks.

Downtime/Ranged (rifle)

  • If all your shotgun skills and damaging handgun skills are on cooldown, or you cannot be in close range of the boss, feel free to fill in the time gaps by using and .
  • While in this stance, you have access to a push immunity , this skill also has weak point level 1 and mid stagger.


In essence, keep stacked using mainly movement skills, use your damaging handgun and shotgun skills while synergy is active to maximise your damage output. If everything else is on cooldown, or you can't get close, fill the rest in with rifle skills. Repeat.

Use , and if you need mobility. These skills can also be used to maintain stacks. Note that is also one of your counters.

In summary, for utility, you can use:

  • or as your counter. Remember that using as a counter means that you won't be getting back attack bonus for it in this case.

  • Any shotgun skill (they are all mid/high stagger except which is low stagger), , or for stagger.
