What are Dual Specializations in Star Wars Zero Company?

Each Dual Spec combines two different Specializations, giving your Operators access to a unique mix of abilities, weapons, and bonuses that significantly change how they perform in combat. Choosing the right Dual Specializations is an important part of building a strong squad in Star Wars Zero Company.

In this guide, we’ll first explain how to unlock Dual Specializations, and then break down the best Dual Specs in Star Wars Zero Company, including which combinations are the most effective and which Operators benefit from them. Certain companions are better suited to certain specializations, which you can read about in our best companions guide.

Whether you’re looking to maximize damage, improve survivability, or create a versatile build that can handle a variety of situations, these are the Dual Specs worth considering.

To get a general idea of what specializations are best, see our specialization ranked tier list.

How to Unlock Dual Specializations

Dual Spec is unlocked after completing the Mission Casualties of War. The mission sees you infiltrate a prisoner exchange only for it to be ambushed by Coil fighters. Battle alongside Anakin Skywalker to defeat the intruders, save civilians, and disarm the bombs to unlock both Luco Bronc and the ability to give your operators a second Specialization.

Best Dual Specs in Star Wars Zero Company

There are many strong Dual Specialization combinations, here are some of the most synergistic.

Scout + Heavy

This is extremely simple and one of, if not the best, Tank set ups in Zero Company. The Heavy focuses on spamming Bulwark, its AoE taunt, to distract opponents and keep your allies safe. The Scout's Combat Recon is used to generate enough ADV to keep Bulwark up at all times.

Soldier + Assault

The Soldier and Assault specializations have two synergistic passives: one that increases melee damage, and another that increases movement speed. As both of these specs offer a melee attack and with movement speed being a superior stat for all close-range classes, this is a natural combination.

Additionally, the Assault has a close-range special ability that damages all enemies in a cone and reduces their chance to hit by 20%, very useful support for this up-close-and-personal style combo.

Sharpshooter + Scoundrel

This combination provides one of the highest single target nukes in the game.

The Scoundrel's Expose Weakness ability enables a guaranteed critical hit for the next attack against that particular enemy, and the Sharpshooter's Precision Shot, at max rank, has +50% critical damage. A guaranteed high damage shot that is great for beefier opponents.

Additionally, the Scoundrel offers some strong general synergies with the Sharpshooter, including increased assist damage (the Sharpshooter's long range makes them great for Backup) and defense penetration.

Gunslinger + Soldier

This combination is simple: use this Soldier's increased +2 gun damage passive to juice the otherwise low base damage Gunslinger's pistol.

This extra boost in damage can help the Gunslinger kill opponents with Quick Draw, which refunds its AP cost. This allows for more shots which gain increasing stacking damage thanks to the Gunslinger's passive. Finish it all off with the Gunslinger ultimate ability which fires two shots and you've got a recipe for extremely high damage across multiple targets.

Scout + Sharpshooter

Similar to the Sharpshooter + Scout combo, this again focuses on a big single target nuke. The main difference here is that it's not the Sharpshooter ability that deals the damage, but instead the Scout. Generate ADV with Combat Recon, increase hit and crit chance with Zero In, then target an enemy with Ambush. Ambush does extra damage based on ADV spent, with a base damage of 16 increasing by +4 for each ADV point - and it can crit.

A devastating combo that is expensive but well worth the damage numbers.

Medic + Scout

The ultimate support combo. The Scout element provides ADV for your team, and the Medic gives healing and, most importantly, a Combat Stim, increasing both the damage and health of your squad.

The Medic has some other good combos such as the Heavy and Assault - essentially any close range spec that might need self healing - but this is the best support combination in the game.
