The Crit Hydra - Hawk Tuah build guide aims to give you a smooth and fast leveling experience through Torment 1 all the way to Pit 100!
Hydra can be built as Burn or Direct Damage, and the Direct Damage setup received last minute bug fixes and buffs to make it a worthy rival to the Burn setup! I hope you enjoy. I tried to make it easy to play, as rotation style gameplay can be hard.

Stage 1 of Ice Shards








Because of the Smoldering Ember Infusion we can run Any Element Enchantment and Familiar Enchant and get around 1.68[x] Fire damage out of it with the Enchantment Master Legendary Node!
• Hydra Enchant is my go-to because it helps farm faster as there are more spits going around • Ice Blade Enchant can be ran here for more attack speed
• Familiar Enchant for 10% more damage out of Invoked Familiar and to aid in Conjuration Stacks










If you want to use a Serpentine Staff you can, I don't know whether you drop Flash Fire or Firestarter. You might have to just see for yourself.

Ice Shard Setups
Left Hand 1234 Ice Blades (1), Ice Armor (2), and Teleport (3) are basically piano pressed off Cooldown. Flame Shield (4) is saved as needed.
Right Hand - Mouse Right Click and M4 • My M4 is Hydra • My Right Click is Ice Shards • I press Hydra every 3-5 seconds, and inbetween I am tapping or spamming Ice Shards about every half second • You only need to cast ice shards about every 0.75 seconds into an enemy to keep the Verglas Damage buff up, less if it ricochets
The way it all work My left hand is pianoing my cooldowns. My right hand is doing a weave of Hydra, few casts of ice shards, Hydra
Harlequin Crest Setups
• Use all cooldowns as needed • Cast Inferno to group enemies and grant a 50% damage buff • Cast Hydra at least every 5 seconds when your Mana is Back up to full • Because this setup does not have many ranks in PROTECTION (Barrier when use a cooldown) you are reliant on ICE ARMOR • This means you will want to Cast Hydra and spend all your mana, probably every 3 seconds to abuse SHIMMERING ICE ARMOR to keep re-applying that FAT CHONKY ICE ARMOR BARRIER
This is Critical Strike Damage setup of Hydra which scales very well early. That is thanks to the Invoked Hydra node gaining 50% critical strike damage and 20% crit chance, as well as the Esu's Ferocity Key Passive giving 40% critical strike chance. Hydra gets a lot of Crit Chance for free, where other builds need to invest more!
It also has access to some very good scaling aspects such as Serpentine, Flash Fire, Battle Casters, and Storm Swell.
