Diablo 4 Sorcerer BuildLightning Spear - Shockuna
Lightning Spear - Mekuna's Shockuna is the best build of the season. This build is highly versatile and works incredibly well across all types of content (Helltides, Speedfarming, Hordes, etc.).
- If you don't have the Uber Uniques yet, I recommend using the starter version of the build: Found Here
- If you're aiming for maximum Pit pushing, go with the Heir of Perdition (Pit & Bosses) variant.
This build relies on the new aspect Splintering Energy: Critical Hits with Lightning Spear cause Lightning to arc from it, dealing damage to its target and up to 5 other enemies. This damage is increased by your Critical Strike Damage Bonus.
- This is the fastest and best build overall for this season. It's very good in any content. You have the Pit Pushing version if you want to push the Pit with this build.
- With good gear you should be able to complete Pit 100 in 3-4 minutes.
- Aim 45% critical strike chance on the tooltip. You get +50% from the boss power and +5% from Lightning Spear.

Masterworking (MW) enhances an item's stats. Each MW rank boosts all affixes by 5%, but Ranks 4, 8, and 12 give a 25% bonus to one random affix.
- 1 MW: Rank 4 (blue); one affix gets a 25% bonus.
- 2 MW: Rank 8 (yellow); two affixes get a 25% bonus.
- 3 MW: Rank 12 (orange); three affixes get a 25% bonus.
Use the Masterworking menu at Blacksmiths with materials from The Pit. MW ranks can be reset if needed. You don't have to triple Masterwork everything, but it's optimal if you can. Aim for at least 2 of the suggested MWs. Other stats are usually fine.
If you’re no longer having mana issues, you can replace Mana per Second on your boots with Armor or another stat you prefer. You can also use Barrier Generation as a temper if you want a bit more toughness.

Build Notes
Snapshots (not mandatory)
- Simple Snapshot: Cast Ball Lightning 4 times to generate 8 Crackling Energies thanks to Wizard's Ball Lightning. Pick them up to charge your Roaring Lightning Spear (you should see a "8" on the Lightning Spear icon). Then follow your usual spell rotation. Use this trick if you want a boost in damage.
- Advanced Snapshot For Shockuna Pit Pushing using flameshield: Move forward to the first group of monsters without using any skills. Once you're in position, activate Flame Shield and wait for it to expire, it will stun nearby enemies.
- Then, simply cast Lightning Spear and follow your usual spell rotation.
If your first Lightning Spear cast overpowers (3% base chance), all following casts will also overpower and boost your damage by a lot depending on your gear.
Shockuna
- Activate Unstable Currents.
- Spam Ball Lightning, Lightning Spear, and Ice Blades. We're essentially using our Ball Lightning to keep as many Lighting Spears active as possible through Unstable Currents. Ice Blades also trigger Tal Rasha.
- Keep your Ice Armour up as much as possible, as it's a solid defence against unavoidable damage.
- Fireball should be used to execute monsters and trigger Tal Rasha, while also helping to recharge Enlightenment more quickly when the buff isn’t active.

- The build has a heavy focus on buffing our Lightning Spears through the use of the aspect Splintering Energy, using the uniques Harlequin Crest damage further for Pit Pushing. Ball Lightning here is essentially a generator for our Unstable Currents to get out as many Lightning Spears as possible, which has a cap of 12.
- You will often see 8 stacks on the Lightning Spear spell, this represents the Roaring Lightning Spear stacks. However, the actual cap for Lightning Spear is 12 stacks.
- Orange Herald aspect allows you to have 100% uptime on Unstable Current
- It's possible to replace Raiment of the Infinite with Shroud of False Death for more toughness.
- Be sure to read the buff given by Tal'Rasha and maintain its damage buff.
- Potion: Attack Speed for Shockuna or Maximum Life if you struggle with toughness, Critical Strike Chance for Boss Killer & Pit Farming and Speedfarm Pit, Maximum Life for Pit Pushing Incenses: Soothing Spices, Reddamine Buzz, Sage's Whisper
- Boots Implicit : Attacks Reduce Evade's Cooldown by 1,5 Seconds is mandatory on this build.
- Flamefeeder Glyph is used for the 10%[x] increased Non-Physical Damage that synergise with Enlightment. We don't care about the burning damage part.
- We don't use Primordial Binding on amulet anymore because of diminishing return.
- To achieve Perma TP, you'll need a high amount of cooldown reduction, along with the right boots, and evade cooldown reduction on both your boots and amulet. This setup allows you to teleport between each Ball Lightning cast. With enough cooldown reduction, your Teleport enchantment cooldown will be around 1.7 seconds, and casting Ball Lightning takes about 0.2 seconds. So the sequence becomes: Teleport → cast Ball Lightning → cooldown resets → repeat.
- Paragon Board: You can spend extra points on whatever you need, more resistance, armor, or other defenses. Personally, I usually recommend going for +5 Intelligence nodes.
