Diablo 4 Sorcerer BuildFirebolt - Mekuna's Firekuna 4.0
Welcome to the Firebolt Flameweaver "Firekuna 4.0" build!
This is the Sorcerer's strongest build for pushing the pit. It achieved the highest clear among all classes in Season 4. Despite Blizzard's nerfs in Season 5, it remained the top-performing build across all classes. Even after further nerfs in Season 6, it still stands as the best pit-pushing build for Sorcerers. With the significant buffs in Season 7, this build has become even stronger and should remain the best by far.
If you're looking for the Top Meta build for all content in general, I highly recommend following this build: https://moba.lol/4fzwr3p
This build is designed to push the pit as high as possible. It's not very efficient for other content.

Masterworking (MW) enhances an item's stats. Each MW rank boosts all affixes by 5%, but Ranks 4, 8, and 12 give a 25% bonus to one random affix. 1 MW: Rank 4 (blue), one affix gets a 25% bonus. 2 MW: Rank 8 (yellow), two affixes get a 25% bonus. 3 MW: Rank 12 (orange), three affixes get a 25% bonus. Use the Masterworking menu at Blacksmiths with materials from The Pit. MW ranks can be reset if needed. You don't have to triple MW everything, but it's more optimal if you can. If not, aim for at least 2 MWs. Most of the time, other stats are fine.

- Start attacking with Firebolt, which splits into three thanks to Flameweaver.
- After a few seconds, cast Fireball to boost Shatter damage further.
Attack Speed Breakpoints (Shard of Verathiel & Focus)
17 106.7% 16 121.8% 15 137.7% 14 156.5% 13 179.5%
121.8% Attack Speed (AS): If your total attack speed adds up to 121.8%, you will perform an attack every 16 frames.
Frame Breakpoints: If your attack speed doesn't reach the next breakpoint (e.g., 121.8%), your attack rate will remain at the previous slower interval. For instance:
At 115% AS, you're below the 121.8% breakpoint. This means your attack rate falls back to the previous breakpoint, which is one attack every 17 frames. In short, attack speed works in discrete intervals (breakpoints). Even small increases in attack speed won't matter unless they push you past the next breakpoint, which reduces the number of frames per attack. This is why fine-tuning attack speed to hit specific breakpoints is essential in many games.
