Blizzard has surprised fans with the reveal of Diablo 5 at BlizzCon. The announcement gives us our first real look at what’s next for the series, along with our first look at three of the new classes coming to the game: the Demon Hunter, Monk, and Plague Knight.

While these are only the first 3 being revealed, we can expect Diablo 5 to have the largest roster of playable characters of any Diablo title according to Blizzard. So with that said, lets take a first look at each of the newly revealed classes.

Class Reveals

The fan favorite Demon Hunter makes its return in Diablo 5, having not seen a main title appearance since Diablo 3. The class still appears to have its iconic crossbow, so players can expect the same fast paced demon slaying action the class is known for.

The Monk is another familiar face coming back from Diablo 3 to join the roster for Diablo 5. The class was known for its fast-paced melee combat and martial arts-inspired abilities, using a combination of punches, kicks, and powerful spirit attacks to take down its enemies, and in Diablo 5 we can expect the Monk to be true to form as the premier martial artist.

The last of the revealed roster is a new face to the Diablo franchise, the Plague Knight. From what was shown, this class will specialized in melee based combat, spreading plague to damage and debuff enemies while thriving in the plague filled battlefield to empower himself. As a new class to the Diablo franchise we expect this class to be a fan favorite at launch.
