What Changes Are Coming

The notes for the patch that Blizzard teased earlier this week are here, covering several issues that the Diablo 4 community has been raising since the beginning of Season 14: Death Awakening. The patch is will be released on Tuesday, July, 14th 2026.

We will be seeing changes to:

  • Mythic drops and crafting
  • Pandemonium Fragments
  • Superior Lair Keys
  • Class bug fixes

Mythic Drops and Crafting

Certain Unique item sources, including Lair Bosses, were affected by a bug that prevented Mythic drops entirely. The upcoming patch will resolve this issue. Blizzard is also boosting the odds that naturally dropped Mythics roll as Iconic Mythics, addressing community concerns that Iconic drops felt too rare.

Mythic crafting also has been reduced, the recipe in the Horadric Cube will now cost 4 Pandemonium Fragments instead of 5.

The El'druin, Sword of Justice was added to the Blacksmith's Mythic Cache. This was not previously in the cache.

Pandemonium Fragments

Pandemonium Fragments will now be easier to acquire. The Corrupted Reaper will now drop up to two Pandemonium Fragments, which will scale with Torment. The repeatable Glints of Hope reputation reward will now guarantee a Fragment as well.

Superior Lair Keys

Superior Lair Keys were quite rare, these will now be more acquirable. Deathtoll Chambers will now always reward at least one superior Lair Key at high Torment levels.
