Build Overview

This Kepeleke build version is played with Sunstained War-Crozier, consuming all your resources each cast and generating a massive attack that is both a guaranteed Critical. This build is slightly different than the others as it doesn't make use of the Banished Lord Talisman because part of the Touch of Death can't Overpower.

    How it Plays

    Basic Version

    1. Protector pulls enemies once you've gotten yourself in position**.
    2. Armored Hide should be spammed, use it on cooldown to bolster your defenses and gain Unstoppable.
    3. Ravager needs to remain active; otherwise, you will not be gaining enough resources to proc Rod of Kepeleke.
    4. Scourge, is a DPS increase but can be removed in favor of a mobility skill like Soar or even Vortex.
    5. Core Skill is your main damage and should be spammed non-stop.
    6. Counterattack you use this on cooldown, it's a bit more defenses.
    7. Poiton, due to powers it will increase your dmg, it's a big dmg multi since it has resource cost reduction.

Read more about it in FAQ.

    How it Works

This build is made great by consuming all your resources with the Rod of Kepeleke, ensuring a critical hit with a massive multiplier. With the use of War Crozier we can get a new powerful multiplier for Touch of Death, making this build different than the classic versiosn with Overpowered.

For Speed Farming, remove Scourge and use Soar. It shave off 30 seconds or more in pits.

If some of the Rare nodes in the Paragon are inactive because your paragon is too low, remove some Dexterity gems and replace them with Intelligence/Strength as necessary.

If you have any questions or are confused just Read the FAQ, it will most likely be answered there, otherwise, check the video that covers most topics in depth.

    Leveling

    Optimal Leveling

Some builds require certain Uniques to be playable, usually Blizzard release a new and powerful unique that gives birth to a new build for the season. To Avoid problems, we'll be using a generic leveling build that does not require specific Items to work.

You can't really level well with this build so For the leveling Guide you should check this and click HERE .

    FAQ

    Why Resource cost reduction?

Because of Rof of Kepeleke consuming all your resources, RCR is considered as a dmg multiplier.

How much Barrier generation do I need?

    • You just need to reach 100% of your life as barrier. If you do not have enough change some dexterity gems for Barrier.

Vessel of Hatred has incorporated a "stat squish" along with the new Torment difficulties that make us incur heavy penalties to our Armor and Resistance values. There are various ways to help alleviate this problem:

    • - Use Yen's Blessing, it will provide with all the resistances you need.
    • Diamonds on Jewels can replace Skulls, they will provide an additional 12% All Resistance.
    • The Soothing Spices Type II Incense provides 10% All Resistance and 150 Armor.
    • The Song of the Mountain Type I Incense provides 200 Armor.

What do I do when I lack Paragon levels?

You do not need all the Paragon Points, feel free to remove damage, mobility or resistances while you grind your levels. What you remove will depend on what your character is lacking.

What is the Amulet affix priority?

    How much resources are needed?

    Here is a breakdown:

    Base 100
Kepeleke 32 (With 3 GA and +12 MW)
    Paragon 33 (Level 100 Glyph)
    Elixir 25
Spiritual Attunement 30/40 (with Shroud of False Death)
    Tibault/Shako 31
    Midday Hunt +50%

    Bugs

Protector was bugged during PTR and shielding enemies, hopefully fixed and not coming back.

    Elixirs and Incenses

    • Elixir of Resourcefulness is the strongest offensive Elixir as it increases our Rod of Kepeleke multiplier. Defensively, Elixir of Fortitude can be used.
    • Chorus of War is the strongest Type III Incense.
    • Soothing Spices is the strongest Type II Incense, providing 10% All Resistance and 150 Armor.
    • Song of the Mountain is the strongest Type I Incense as it provides 200 Armor.

    Solving Resource Generation

The build's strength lies in getting every single Core Skill to inherit Rod of Kepeleke's buff; to do so, we need to combine a specific amount of Resource Generation with Ring of the Midnight Sun.

Ring of the Midnight Sun provides 30-50% of all the Vigor we spent for up to 2 seconds since we last landed a Critical Strike on our next Critical Strike. If we manage to buff that number to 100% through Resource Generation, then every Critical Strike will generate 100% of our Vigor. Since Rod of Kepeleke guarantees Critical Strikes, every cast will generate the same vigor that was spent, solving the issue of Rod of Kepeleke uptime.

The sources of Resource Generation are:

    • Measured Ravager
    • Vigorous Passive
    • Intelligence
    • Resource Generation Affixes and Paragon Nodes.
    • Affixes on Ring or Yen's Blessing.

Resource Generation is multiplicative, not additive, which makes it a bit difficult to easily calculate. Here's a handy calculator made by Sanctum to know how much Resource Generation you currently have.

    Masterworking and Greater Affixes Explained

    Masterworking and how it works.

Masterworking (MW) enhances an item's stats. Each MW rank boosts all affixes by 5%. Ranks 4,8,12 give a 25% bonus to a random affix (MW Crit).

In this planner, the color blue on an item denotes that the affix got one MW Crit, the color yellow denotes that the item got two MW crits and the color orange denotes that the item got three MW crits.

For future reference the amount of MW Crits on an affix will be denoted by 1MW, 2MW, 3MW.

    Greater Affixes

Greater Affixes (GA) on an item force the affix to roll at the top of it's range of possible values and then applies a 50% increase to its value. GA increases are additive with Masterworking increases.

In this planner, the yellow star to the left of an affix denotes that is a GA.

    Example

To put it all in to practice, let's calculate what stat increase a GA Affix on a 12/12 Masterworked item with 2 MW Crits gets:

    Ranks 1-3, 5-7, 9-11 all give 5% -> 9 * 5% = 45%

    Two MW Crits -> 2 * 25% = 50%

    GA = 50%

    Total = 45% + 50% + 50% = 145%

    Masterworking and Greater Affix Priority

    Required GA on Items

Unless a certain amount of a stat is required and no more, like in the case of Attack Speed Breakpoints, Armor and Resistances, GA and MW priority should be intuitive. Whenever a GA is required for the build to follow I will be mentioning it here.

    Example:

For example, if a build has GA Armor on the Amulet, that GA is going to probably be a requirement for the build and it will be showcased here. This is especially true for Pit Pushing builds that follow strict Stat Guidelines, for all standard build I keep a bit of extra stats on the build since people do not have perfect gear.

    Mercenaries

We are using Raheir to increase our elemental resistances and provide us with Bastion. Varyana is useful to gaine extra attack speed if you are not attack speed capped and can be switched to knockdown if needed.

    Seasonal Powers

    ##Major

    A Beast Cornered

This power is very important as the build is pretty much constructed around it. This power increases our damage as we lose HP and also returns a portion of resources we spend, which can then be multiplied by Ravager and Resource Generation to recover the entirety of our skill's cost.

    --

    ##Minor

    Marred Guard

Reduces our HP to 50% but provides. resistances, armour, barrier generation and increases the value of A Beast Cornered.

    Alacrity

Our core skills count as basic skills, Alacrity simply increases the Atk Speed of basic skills.

    Crazy Brew

Increases our damage because the Resource cost Reduction functions as a damage multiplier with Rod of Kepeleke.

    Runes

    ##STANDARD

Xol QaX is a nice damage boost and procs very quickly when combined with Poc que, which is casting Earthen Bulwarks.

Poc Que is the most important set of runes, it is our main source of shield. We further increase Earthern's Bulwark's potency by adding barrier generation in our build-
