Build Summary

Update: Oct 21st - Added Fell Soothsayer to the build, this applies Vuln for us and is bugged to cause enemies to explode for even more damage which helps clear an kill Pit Bosses with adds. Also added a Touch of Death variant that might have a bit more single target damage. Also swapped to Xal, seems to be about the same damage as the ranks but more uptime and survival.

Scourge is our Primary damage skill because it applies a massive Damage Over Time (DOT) to enemies in range of our aura. Spam this button as much as possible to get multiple auras going. Vortex helps to clump enemies up so they're not always running away from us. Ravager will consume Vigor to heal us repeatedly which allows us to use Jacinth Shell. Hit Toxic Skin to make nearby enemies explode as long as you make them vulnerable from Stinger.

For speed farming you can swap Replenishing Ravager to Measured Ravager to make Stinger teleport to enemies.

This build is all about spamming Scourge out to get a nice damage over time aura stacking up. Enemies within range will become feared and run away which is a bit annoying so we are going to use Vortex to pull them ontop of each other. Stinger applies Vulnerable for us and then Toxic Skin makes all close Vulnerable Poisoned Enemies take a crit every second which will detonate their poisons thanks to our key passive. We are using the bug for Redirected Force to scale our Crit Damage very high! Resolve Stacks = more block = more crit!

Gems -> You want 2 Amethyst's to help cap out your Barrier and then you want 1 Diamond for all stats and 1 Emerald for more Dex.

Build Notes

Gameplay Loop
  1. Activate Ravager to consume Vigor to heal yourself
  2. Spam Scourge for damage
  3. Vortex enemies into a pile
  4. Use Stinger to apply Vulnerable (this also heals you for spending resource and hitting Vuln enemies)
  5. Activate Armored Hide to give yourself max Resolve and more block
  6. Activate Toxic Skin to detonate the poisons.

If you are struggling for single target damage make sure that you are using Stinger frequently to keep yourself healthy and the boss vulnerable. Also keep moving to proc your Earthen Bulwark rune.

How It Works

Why Do We Stack Crit Damage? Our Key Passive Noxious Resonance causes any critical strikes to 'detonate' our poisons dealing 100% damage to the poisoned target and then 20% to surrounding enemies. This damage is then multiplied by 30% of our Critical Strike Damage #. Which Means that every 3% Critical Strike Damage is ~1%[x] Damage! We get easy critical strikes from Toxic Skin which will crit nearby Vulnerable Poisoned Enemies every second while active. So all we have to do is apply Vulnerable with Stinger and have Toxic Skin running to get consistent pops.

What About Thorns? Thorns scaling would be a different build altogether, in this build we want to focus on making that Noxious Resonance detonation as big as possible for maximum damage.

Why Stack Armor? The Unyielding Aspect can add up to 1500 weapon damage to our build so we want to get every last bit of that. By maxing out our Armor we get ~276%[x] which is hands down the highest aspect boost available.

Would Any Mythics Work With This? Don't really think so. Andariel's - losing Harmony costs us too much. 90% damage is huge but we're also getting damage stacking from Potent and Ferocity stacks as well which gives us a ton of healing when killing enemies from Fueled. Shattered Vow - this weapon provides almost nothing to the build, a legendary weapon will give us so much more damage thanks to Critical Strike Damage and Scourge Temper. Plus Redirected Force Aspect is insane atm. Tyrael's Might / Shroud of False Death - Both of these are great HOWEVER we really want to be able to spam our cooldowns. Without Jacinth Shell reducing our Scourge CD a lot the build will feel a lot worse and without a steady stream of Vortexes enemies will walk away from us too much. Selig's - This does not really solve our health drain issues as Jacinth Shell appears to bypass this Mythic
