Build Summary

Incinerate is a Damage over time channeling skill that requires you to plant yourself and ramp up damage as you cast. To overcome this sitting duck style gameplay, we load this build up with a ton of Barrier and Burning DR, as well as utilize the Snowgaurd's defensive aspect to plant ourselves in blizzards while channeling. IIncinerate cannot critically strike (But X'Fal's can), and does not benefit from attack speed besides on the initial cast animation.

armor cap is now 9230. That is any combination of 2 affixes or tempers. Do not stress the masterwork hits. It's not a big deal.

We take fire damage tempers to boost X'fal damage and burning damage If you have bad mana drop the max life off the staff for Resource cost reduction. we get our vuln through frost nova, and through lucky hit chance to make vulnerable on gloves. We run esu's boot just because they are easy to get, and they give our X'fal some crit chance for free

  3. Pop potion whenever needed for Soulbrand Barrier

Incinerate Leveling Guide - New Hotness

From 12th man Bench player on the Miami Heat, to making the finals vs the Nuggets as a Role Player and Starter For the longest time, Incinerate was literally the worst build in the game. Imagine Thanasis on the Milwaukee Bucks.

However, Incinerate received a plethora of buffs late in S3 and going into S4. Large base damage boosts, better survivability through the Destructive Node, and on top of it all, it received the Flamethrower's aspect. Incinerate now splits into 3 beams, dealing 85% damage each (down from 100%). Slap this on a staff, and each beam is now dealing 170% or 1.7[x] normal damage. X'Fal even got a buff when using a staff, going from

Staff > Flamescar

• A staff is absolutely the play and are Meta again. Flamescar is not worth the slot, but you can make it work. • The loss of cooldown rolls from the focus can be made up for by having cooldown on your helm, amulet, Tal Rasha, and X'Fal's (4 cooldown rolls). • X'Fal even got a buff when using a staff, going from 40K base to 50K base

Damage Reductions We culminate various sources of Damage Reduction to allow us to sit still and facetank, something incinerate has struggled with in the past.

• 33% Barrier DR from Soulbrand and the Reinforced Glyph • 34%+ Burning DR from the paragon • 20% Elite DR from Paragon • 40% Close DR from Soulbrand & Tibault's Will • 30% All DR from Snowguards • Enemies deal 30% less damage while burning from Incinerate with the Destructive Incinerate Skill Tree node

Enchantments

• We utilize Firewall Enchant to add additional sources of Burning for the Combustion Key Passive (they also look cool) • We utilize Fireball Enchant to help clean up groups of mobs • Fireball Enchant is the flex here, options are meteor + starfall, Ice Blade Enchant, Incinerate Enchant, Frozen orb if you want to spam cast.
