Diablo 4 Sorcerer BuildIncinerate - Dracarys
Incinerate is Core Skill that applies burning damage over time when channeled. It cannot critically strike, it takes 2 seconds to ramp up to full damage and you cannot move while casting. I've decided to make this a fun build, as it's an off meta build, and therefore it should be fun to offset it's lack of power compared to full meta options.
A staff with the flamethrower aspect is extremely strong, and will carry you harder than you ever thought it could. This setup absolutely hoses. Until it doesn't. I don't know where in Torment 4 that will be.
Incinerate enchant is bugged and like doubling/tripling combustion its weird

Enchantments • Incinerate Enchant - taken to abuse some bug with combustion where it like double dips conflagration scaling combustion
• Firewall Enchant - When an enemy is standing in a firewall, they take 25% more burning damage from all sources
Basically Spam all your cooldowns before you enter a fight, then teleport out when your barriers etc are down • You can stay in if you have flame shield or ice armor, but this sort of plays as a dive bomber because you need to spend all your CDs, then ramp up damage, and leave when your barriers go away
• Flamescar is still bad, use the staff with Flamethrower, it's very strong at 180% x 3 incinerate beams for 540% damage
Can use starless skies if you don't want to make an engulfing flames ring - just easier, Masterwork Core Ranks
If you want really smooth gameplay, hear me out, use SOULBRAND CHEST, can keep barrier up while potioning
• Mess around with the aspect slots, I am not sure if conflagration will be better than overheating or flamethrower in their respective slots because of the bugs
• Mot Dark shroud rune is a flex, can use whatever
strengths
- Very strong out the gate with no uniques
- Easy on mana
weaknesses
- Can fall off late late game
- Have to stand still while casting
Build Notes
1) Use ice armor for barrier and liberally press ice blades and lightning spear
2) Hold Incinerate on enemies until they die
3) Reposition and use cooldowns as needed
4) Flame Shield should be held to burst down elites, avoid exploding pools, or to immune frame boss/shade mechanics in the Pit
How it works Incinerate is a channeled Pyromancy (Fire) Core Skill that deals damage over time in the form of burning damage. It has some very good aspects at it's disposal that help ramp up the damage, notably Flamethrower and Conflagration. When casting you are rooted in place and it takes 2 seconds to ramp up to full damage.
Damage over time cannot critically strike. Incinerate does not benefit whatsoever from attack speed, unlike other channeled skill that Barb and Druid use. It is sort of nice that you don't have to worry about attack speed or critical strike chance.
Burning damage on Sorcerer has some solid passives and legendary nodes at its disposal. Most notably are the Combustion Key Passive and the Burning Instinct Legendary Node. You only need 1350 intelligence to max out the Burning Instinct Legendary node at 90%[x], which is very easy to do.
Overheating Aspect Variant • Overheating aspect just received some buffs to scale with ranks to incinerate, so flamescar is back on the menu • The build is half Damage over time, and half Direct fire damage that always critically strikes
