Build Overview

We spin, we win. Its that easy. The build can be easily played from lvl 1 if you have your extra skillpoints unlocked, otherwise you will be waiting til lvl 6. Its one of the fastest and strongest lvling builds in the entire game, blasting through content at similar speed to a cracked up sorc.

Early on you will rely on the base dmg of Dance of Knives and Arrowstorm but later on you will swap to a more refined Victimize setup with a hint of poison to season everything to perfection.

How it Plays

Skill Priority

  1. Use Dance of Knives and keep pressing the button.
  2. Use Imbuement.
  3. Use Shadow Clone for tougher foes and when you Inner Sight is active.
  4. Use Smoke Grenade to daze enemies and increase your dmg.
  5. Use Poison Trap to poison enemies, knock them down and increase our dmg in the endgame.
  6. Use Dash to get around during lvling and switch to Shadowstep for later stages because we need unstoppable and an instant blink. You can alternatively use Concealment to reposition yourself with a nice, on demand stealth.
  7. Evade near enemies to trigger various effects like Shroud of Khandrus, passive buffs and vortex during lvling.

How it Works

The build is based around the new Dance of Knives skill, featuring 0 resource cost and a dream. You can constantly cast this skill and utilize its high lucky hit chance to proc Victimize. The skill itself is using a charge system, which allows you to use it, once you are out, you stop spinning and become one sad rogue.

We however have a multitude of ways to prevent the unfun from happening. The skill generate charges per second not used, generates charges from combo points, and, most importantly, generates charges from traveling 30 meters ingame. 4 at that. This means we need to travel 27 km/h or 16,777 mph. Or in diablo terms 7.5 m/sec to not drop out of funmode. TDLR: be fast, never stop.

Lastly we are going to use a variety of ways to buff our dmg, or in this case Victimize. Dance of Knives can be imbued, so we are going to use shadow during lvling and poison for the endgame. Smoke grenade is used daze elites and increase our dmg further, and lastly we are going to use Shadow Clone to boost our dmg even higher. Yes, shadow clone finally works. Amazing, marvelous, exquisite, Just incredible. Took them just 1 over 1 year! More on that in the Shadow Clone Section.

Victimize

During the leveling process we will not be using Victimize because of missing lucky hit chance. Its just better to rely on momentum here to increase all our stats and get more movementspeed going.

Later on we will switch to Victimize and get to experience it in all its marvel. The biggest change here is, it does not double dip anymore and changed in funktionality. It is now only dependant on the weapon dmg we deal and as such does not inherit anything substantial anymore. Victimize can only be scaled with generic, non specific modifiers anymore as well as Vulnerable dmg. But thats enough to let it hit for billions due to the stockpile mechanic. We are One for All, but scuffed. Proccing Victimize is limited to just ~2 per second, but the would be procs are not lost. They push a counter, which acts as a multiplier for the skill and increases the next procs dmg. Grouping enemies to get as many hits in as possible is exceedingly important for this build now to use this.

Otherwise it plays the same as before, just more powerful.

The Umbracrux

The shade totem is insane for this build. It not only buffs our dmg by the specified amount of 20% base but it also acts as a 2nd target which can also proc Victimize. Poison trap and smoke grenade both can summon it, so make sure to always have it up. Its insanely strong for the build and also for party play.

Star Shard aspect

At this point in time it is not confirmed if this one actually can proc Victimize. It looks very cool and is the goat during lvling but it might actually be garbage for the endgame version. Once i have tested it more, i will be updating this section.

As to why its a tossup, effects like this usually do not inherit any lucky hit chance, meaning its 0. Some effects like this specify that they do indeed have their own lucky hit chance, but this one does not.

Fists of Fate

The special Aspect actually works for Victimize since the change. You want to get the lucky hit chance as well as the proc as high as possible. Grab crit chance next and attackspeed last.

Vulnerable appilcation

We need a ring with lucky hit: Chance to make enemies vulnerable for 2 sec. Grab one. We can alternatively exchange True Sight for Touch of the Accursed but it will cost you a lot of dmg. I personally would highly advice you to just grab any ring with the affix and call it a day until you find a better one.

Poison Imbuement

We will eat this one like its candy, so we require Bursting Venoms as well as Poison imbue lasts for +3 casts as tempers before we can really use it. Poison uptime is the biggest issue this build has, so make sure to stand in poison pool you drop from the aspect as much as possible if you notice a lack of charges.

Amulet

Affixes:

  1. Malice -> masterwork max | Huge dmg loss if not on amulet
  2. Frigid Finesse -> alternative | Crit chance/lucky hit/agility%(Movement if below 200%)
  3. Exploit -> alternative | Crit chance/lucky hit/agility%(Movement if below 200%)

Tempers:

  1. Vulnerable Dmg
  2. Total Armor % - > if you do have GA armor on your pants, drop this in favour of more Poison Imbue charges! TOTAL ARMOR ONLY IF ITS A 1 PASSIVE AMI. GA pants are MUCH MUCH MUCH cheaper.

Runewords

Vortex during lvling, which changes to War Cry during endgame for 15% more dmg. You can alternatively use both and drop Concussive Stomp for a big suck effect. I personally perfer this but have seen the other version aswell.

During lvling you want to throw in anything you can in the 2nd slot. It does not really matter all too much, except that skills triggered do some decent dmg, so you will want those in there somewhere.

No Witnesses Paragon

This node buffs our dmg immensely, but it has some steep requirements for the 45% more dmg multi. We will need the nodes on the treee as well as Flickersteps, which provide us with 435% with a max roll at 12/12 masterwork. We need 450% total. Anything above that is wasted, so make sure to micro this for the most benefit.

Merc

Subo is live. Subo is bae. Gives you so much QoL through map highlights, especially in NMDs which are now used for material farming. You also get a decent amount of lucky hit chance!

Shadow Clone & Inner Sight Interaction

Well its actually not entirely fixed. Its bug-fixed, but not bugfixed. Using Shadow Clone in combination with Inner Sight allows us to start spinning insanely fast due to a bugged mechanic, which might be fixed with 2.0.2. For this to occure you need to use Shadow Clone once you have Inner Sight active. The interaction increases the spin to 6 attacks per second which is why we depelete our poison charges so insanely fast!

As for Inner Sight, it provides us with 25% critchance and infinite charges for our spin, so we never stop and can actually stand still in a Bursting Venoms Poison Pool to constantly trigger Poison charges. Shadow Clone also gives us Unstoppable, so we can chill in the green soup without any worries of getting slapped around.
