Diablo 4 Necromancer BuildSever - The Shadow Assassin
Sever is reaching new heights as a top tier build thanks to the new aspect Reaping Lotus and the new Shroud of False Death. If you've always wanted to play as a shadow assassin, this build is it. Its fast, tanky, and deals an incredible amount of damage while jumping in and out of stealth to decimate unsuspecting enemies.
This is the Ultimate Endgame version. If you need to substitute any Mythic Uniques then use the following replacements:
Helmet: Helm of Lucion Chest: Concussive Strikes with a roll of Essence Per Second Ring: Conceited Aspect or Aspect of Long Shadow

Build Notes
- Cast Soulrift for the Barrier, Vulnerable and Essence
- Cast Decrepify to apply the curse and to activate Aspect of the Damned
- Cast Sever or Blood Mist until you get a corpse from Hewed Flesh
- Cast Corpse Tendrils to group up the mobs and activate Grasping Veins
- Cast Corpse Explosion on the corpse to activate your buffs such as Fueled By Death
- Cast Sever until the enemies are defeated
Sever is a very simple build to play but there are a few things you need to be mindful about.
Make sure you're casting Corpse Explosion between casts to maintain uptime on Fueled By Death and Flesh Eater as well as maintain essence.
While this build does scale incredibly with Mythic Uniques, they are not required, so use the substitutes listed in the gear section until you can get them.
