Diablo 4 Necromancer BuildSever - The Shadow Juggernaut
Sever is up there as one of the better builds for the Necromancer, but where it shines more than any other is in its durability. One of the weaknesses of all the top-tier Necro builds is their fragility, and Sever excels not only in damage but also in pure durability.
If you want a build that not only pumps out insane DPS but also can survive everything from giant elite packs to Pit boss mechanics, then look no further.
The Skeletal Mage sacrifice is used to help upkeep the essence cost needed to use Crown of Lucion
If you do not have Ring of Starless Skies yet, take off Crown of Lucion for a legendary helmet with essence per second and swap Ring of Starless Skies for a legendary ring with Aspect of Longshadow. But both Ring of Starless Skies and Crown of Lucion are vital to the build so get them as soon as possible.
Build Notes
- Cast Decrepify to apply the curse and to activate Aspect of the Damned
- Cast Sever or Blood Mist until you get a corpse from Hewed Flesh
- Cast Corpse Tendrils to group up the mobs and activate Grasping Veins
- Cast Corpse Explosion on the corpse to activate your buffs such as Fueled By Death and Flesh Eater
- Dash through the mobs after they've been pulled in by Corpse Tendrils
- Cast Sever until the enemies are defeated
Sever is a very simple build to play but there are a few things you need to be mindful about.
Make sure you're casting Corpse Explosion between casts to maintain uptime on Fueled By Death and Flesh Eater as well as maintain essence.
If you do not have Ring of Starless Skies but you want to play the build, then you can swap the ring to an Aspect of The Long Shadow instead. While it wont be nearly as strong, it will make the builds essence cost requirements manageable until you can get your hands on the ring.
