This build is just godly in season five with the additional of shard of varathiel.
Since we lose the implicit CD reduction from the focus when using a 2h, be sure to have Bone Spirit CD reducion on all of your jewlery so that you are able to spam Bone Spirit
Q: Why are you not running a key passive? A: The key passive you would probably go for is Ossified Essence, but we are not running it because Bone Splinters are procced by Bone Spirit, which drains all of your essence, which makes Ossified Essence, sadly, useless.
Important
You need to get a combined 100 % crit chance from gear and skill tree. You get
20 % from bone storm 20 % from grasping veins 12 % from inspiring leader 24 % from sacrificing skelly warriors 10% from ghastly boner spirit
The remaining 14 % you need to sort via your gear.This is to reset bone spirit. You get 7 sec lower CD on bone spirit when you crit, and the rest of the cooldown is reset via tempers and rapid ossification.
Build Notes
0) Cast Bone Storm on CD and Decrepify when needed 1) Cast 1 Bone Spirit in order to create a corpse 2) Cast Corpse Tendrils 3) Cast Blood Mist and stay in it until mobs get pulled in, as soon as they do, positions yourself on top on them, if you are still in Blood Mist when you are on top of them, cast it again to get out of it. 4) Cast Blight 5) Hold down/spam Bone Spirit in order to proc Shattered Spirit's Aspect 6) Repeat
- It is extremely important to stay on top on mobs/bosses, because we want every Bone Splinter to hit and not to fly off into the void, it's not easy but definitely doable.
- Spamming Bone Spirit enables the build, not because of the dmg but because we want to constantly proc Shattered Spirit
- Attack speed is super important, same for Bone Critical Strike Damage
Regular legendary boots with Ghoswalker are fine, i decided to go for Flickerstep though because almost every affix/stat works well with the build:
- Movement Speed: Yes please
- Dmg reduction from close enemies: YES PLEASE
- The effect is also great, it feels much smoother and easier to keep Bone Storm up.
- Ultimate dmg: we don't talk about this
Starless Skies is also fine, if you happen to have it, take off the ring with Inner Calm or Conceited Aspect
I wouldn't personally recommend it BUT, if you feel comfortable with the survivability, you can go ahead and switch Rubies for Topazes on gear
