Build Summary

We mainly focus on buffing and making our Shadow Mages as strong as they can be here, as I personally prefer them over the golem, but both variants Mages or Golem are very close in performance. This build is great for speed farming the lower tiers of pit around 80 is the sweet spot for materials as well as just destroying anything else in the game like Uber bosses and Helltides.

If the reapers are still bugged in the book of dead, you can use the 2nd reaper node that will generate corpses as well as proc the first node with the CD but after my testing it seems they fixed it so it does not give you both effects in that case I use the CD one instead. If you need to be more tanky you can also use the first node on the blood golem for a decent buff to your survivability. Corpse explosion is not used on your bar as it procs when you use blood mist.

You can replace the Helm aspect with anything you would prefer in that slot or you could even use a Harlequin Crest there, is what I am doing personally. The 2nd rings stats should be the same as the first ring. Make sure to play around with gear stats between maxlife/armor rolls to make sure that you hit the armor cap of 9230, and if you are still in the gearing up process you could even use "aspect of Juggernaut" on the helm to meet the armor cap until you can reach it naturally.

Build Notes

Gameplay Loop
  1. Pull together a Big mob of enemies usually including an Elite then blood mist into them generating a corpse as well as procing our corpse explosion to have our darkness miasma on the floor to build up our blighted stacks.
  2. Use Corpse Tendrils in the middle of the pack you just pulled with the corpse that spawned from Blood Mist.
  3. Use Decrepify on the Pack to get all our multipliers working as well as reduce CDS once our minions start hitting everything.
  4. Pop Army of the Dead for massive Damage bonuses and to start its CD so it can be refreshed faster.
  5. Keep repeating steps 1-4 until everything is Dead

Boss Rotation: Basically the same after the Initial steps 1-4 but then after that use your Blood mist a little more defensively and only when you need to but also make sure to try and keep up corpse explosion throughout the fight.

How It Works

The build works by stacking as much mage damage as we can through tempers and aspects to buff our shadow mages as much as possible and also making use of the Blighted Aspect as well as the "shadowblight" Cap stone Perk in our skill tree.

If you need more survivability you could easily swap out the army of the dead for bone storm and change the aspect on the helm to "Shielding Storm" and that will solve everything for you if you would prefer that but you would miss out on a massive 100% damage multiplier during AOTD use but for gearing up purposes you could opt to use Bone storm until you have the gear to go AOTD.

Make sure to hit armor cap of 9230 and All res cap at 70%

UNIQUE NOTE The build has a lot of wiggle room with Being able to use a Shaco or add in a Tyreals Might for massive damage reduction so if you wanted to/have those uniques do not be afraid to use them in the build, they will function great here.
