How it Plays
- Get yourself to below 35% Hp, let mobs hit you till you have 4k HP, then shield up, you can use weak mobs in open world for it, or you can just let it happen.
- Cast Earthen Bulwark and repeatedly cast Claw to reset Bulwark, make sure you filled your Fortify Bar before going into combat.
- Activate Poison Creeper on enemies.
- Use Petrify to stun Elites and buff your damage on bosses.
- Trampleslide!
- Jump on your target with a dash use Poison Creeper and activate a 2nd Earth Bulwark, it should nuke any enemy with a crit.
- Keep spamming Auto Attacks and resetting your Bulwark, Creeper and Trampleslide.
How it Works
Your damage will come from the Landslide skill which increases your damage output, the Trample skill has been enhanced with additional aspects to cast Landslide in tandem around you and the same thing goes for the Poison Creeper Skill. Landslide serves as the primary source of damage in this build, making it a crucial component of your arsenal.
Earthen Bulwark is our protection but also second damage ability, to reset its cooldown we use a clever combination of our Symbiotic Aspect and Nature’s Fury. This will reset the cooldowns of our Non-Ultimate Abilities by 8 seconds whenever we succeed in activating the passive with one of our Nature’s skills. This is where the Greatstaff of the Crone could be a useful item if you do not have a good main hand and off-hand. You can replace them for a Crone Staff, lose the two Aspects and start using Claw as your basic attack, remove points from a damage passive to get Claw and it's passive from the talent tree.
This is an Endgame build and we suggest you use one of the leveling guides such as Landslide Druid early game guide or Earth druid early game guide for an easier leveling experience!
If you are ENDGAME geared, you can use a unique helm, otherwise, just a basic helm with Barrier generation, Attack Speed, and Max life will be good enough.
Low Life Playstyle
Low Life is a playstyle where we intentionally drop to 35% or Below HP to make use of the stat ‘’Damage Reduction While Injured’’. So our main HP pool will actually be our 8k shield that will now virtually function as a 40k HP when you account for the increase in Damage Reduction. On top of that, the remaining 4k HP, will be the same value of having 20k HP without the Damage reduction from Injured.
Earthen Bulwark / Barrier
Bulwark damage scales of the stat % Barrier Generation, it does not scale of Bulwark Level, and it does not scale of Aspects. The max barrier value is equal to your Max Life, but you can get as much extra damage as your % Barrier Generation stat EVEN if the barrier is over-capped.
Earthen Bulwark does a lot of damage, we are playing all high damage modifiers for Earth Skills that double and even quadruple dip if you apply enough sources of CC.
Core
In this build we do not cast a core skill manually, it’s Trample and Poison Creeper casting Landslide.
We are also casting Earthen Bulwark with Innate Earthen Bulwark as it’s passive, a cool little damage ability that can scale with Barrier Generation on top of all other modifiers.
Ultimate
Petrify, can be used to deal with Elites and Bosses, it's really good in difficult dungeons as the stun serves as a mean of defense and not only for offense.
Keystone
Nature’s Fury is the core of this build, the ability to reset our Bulwark is what makes the build good, it provides us with full uptime of all our defensive abilities and reset of our damage abilities at the same time.
Defense
This build has a monstrous defence, not only do we have perma Fortify but we also have tons of damage reduction while fortified and against poisoned enemies.
As a low Life build, we take the full benefit of Damage Reduction while Injured, meaning that our 8k shield will be worth 40k, and our remaining 4k HP will be worth 20k.
Earthen Bulwark will also provide a big shield and Maoschists a good chunk of heals. A notable defense we have is also the use of Vigilance, 15% Damage reduction every time we cast a defensive skill.
Requirements
You should have at least 75% Damage Reduction while Injured. If you do not have it, just play the build as a Max life build till you do. Not much changes.
Nightmare Pushing
This build is really good for Nightmare Dungeons and Lilith, it has the highest defense in the game and nothing can kill it. Not even One-Shot Mechanics can. If you find your defense lacking, play with Greatstaff of the Crone for more shields.
Tips & Tricks
- Play with a controller, it lets you move and auto-attack at the same time, really good for Rogue builds as well.
- Stack your fortify to 100% before you engage in combat
- Poison enemies as soon as possible
- Don’t stand melee with enemies if you don’t have Earthen Bulwark up, wait for it to be active before you get close, when you don’t get resets just walk away till you do.
Common Myths
Players think spells casted while not on your bar do not benefit from passives. The truth is that some of them do and some of them don't. In this case, we do not need to cast Hurricane from our skill bar to benefit from the 20% DR passive.
