Diablo 4 Druid BuildKripp's Wolf Companion Druid - Season 6
This is likely the strongest companion Druid build in Season 6.
The new Heir of Perdition helmet, new companion passive, new companion Paragon board, and powerful new glyphs that favor Druids, come together to make a fairly powerful summoner build!
strengths
- Playable minion build!
- Good boss damage
- Good build to start from level 1
weaknesses
- Weak area damage
Build Notes
Cooldowns:
- Wolf button to do damage
- Blood Howl and Debilitating Roar on cooldown to keep up defense passive buffs
- Lacerate (mostly on cooldown) or Evade to break CC
Reset Wolf cooldown with lucky hits:
- Stone Burst against many targets and at least once for each target every 5 seconds for damage buff
- Claw for single (or 2-3) target
Do not stay in human for longer than 3 seconds to maintain Shapeshifting passive bonuses
Wolves do all the damage. Their single target is amazing, their area damage is not.
The Ceh magic rune summons Spirit Wolves to attack enemies for 8 seconds. These Wolves are companions, which means they grant a significant damage multiplier while contributing to the Shepherd's Aspect companion count. They also do some damage and apply chill for activating crowd control bonuses.
The Storm's Companion lucky hit bonus to Pack Leader multiplies the boon itself, so it is a valuable stat as it effectively multiplies your existing lucky hit for Wolf resets. Claw has an absurd lucky hit rate and the 20% attack speed passive is actually a multiplier. You will get constant resets with this setup and will out damage a cooldown reduction based companion build.
What really sets this build apart from other companion Druids is the attack speed. Attack speed in D4 has to separate categories, and each caps at 100%. Bonuses usually fall into the first category, but Werewolf Attack Speed temper falls in the rare second category. While this affix does not affect the attack speed of our Wolf companions, it affects all werewolf based skills for faster lucky hit triggers, and it also affects the cast time of the Wolves active skill. This setup will feel much more fluid than other companion Druids as most others only scale the speed of the wolves, and not the player. With perfect gear and tempers, you will be able to reach 200% attack speed, with the 20% claw multiplier for some snappy gameplay!
