Stats
How it Plays
1. Engage with Leap
2. Rupture (repeat every 5 seconds on boss fights)
3. Spam Rend
4. Warcry when facing tougher enemies and need a damage boost!
5. Iron Skin to break cc or gain a boost to damage reduction when getting slapped about.
How it Works
What really makes this build tick is the insanely strong AoE you get from Rupture because this kill damage is multiplied by every enemy you skewer with it.
So the goal is to use Steel Grasp to clump enemies in front of you, pop Rupture and completely detonate every enemy in the room with a face-melting bleed.
We then have Rend as a gap fill and boss killer as Rupture performs badly against single targets.
Leap is a really cool addition to this build in Season 5 as the mental buffs to the Ring of the Ravenous make it a must take in a build like this. Meaning we'll want to be using a Brawling skill in our build, why we're at it, might as well get 25% damage and damage reduction too right?
Weapon Selection
In the early in the game, it's best to leave weapon assignment on automatic and you'll want to be using the 2H-Sword Technique once you've unlocked it at level 15
Once you're into the mid-game you will want to swap your attacks to all use "Two-Handed Sword" and then also set your technique to "Two-Handed Axe**
Main Skills and Gameplay
Damaging Skills
- Rend , you'll spam this skill when either Rupture is on cooldown or there are not enough enemies around & especially on bosses.
- Rupture, for any time you have a juicy group of demons to skewer for the most godlike bleeds you've ever seen.
Supporting Skills
- Warcry grant's berserking as well as providing a tidy little damage boost as well, best used off cooldown.
- Leap applies a butt ton of bleed through Ring of the Ravenous and creates an Earthquake for giga buffs!
- Iron Skin to break cc or gain a boost to damage reduction when getting slapped about.
- Wrath of the Berserker Use for a tasty boost to DPS, fury and speed!
Defenses & Utility
- Armor cap is variable depending on your level, however, a general rule of thumb is that you'll want your physical damage reduction to at least reach 85% in the tooltip (hover over armor in stat sheet) Endgame cap is 9000 armor this is the maximum you'll require.
- Resistances cap at 70% and you'll want to aim to have them all capped, bare in mind that as you move up in world tier you'll receive a handicap to these resistances, so be sure to check the regularly.
- For utility stats, you want to stack as much Cooldown reduction as possible the cap is 75% but it's very unlikely we'll get close to it.
- Movement speed caps at 200%, remember to take into account dynamic sources of movement speed like Berserking or Rallying cry so that you don't over cap.
