Diablo 4 Barbarian BuildEnd-game Rend for S5
This build is a similiar, but way less tedious and boring playstyle than Flay from S4. Rend is very good at AoE clearing in combination with Rupture and in my opinion one of the coolest abilities of Barbarian. It is the perfect build for people trying to step away from the 0.1% meta, see some very cool animations and simply have fun, while still being very strong in all aspects of the game.
This is a no-generator build that relies on Fury cost reduction and massive amounts of lucky hit to generate fury through Slaking Aspect, which also gives us Max Fury for Ramaladni and Wrath glyph's Fury gen.
We want GA crit chance on our rings and gloves. MW in order to reach precise 100% CSC, the rest into +Rend. 8 seconds duration on Ring of the Ravenous and 300%(x) on Fists of Fate is of utmost importance. Gems in our weaponery are a mix of Emeralds and Sapphires to reach 45%(x) on Hemorrhage node. Gems in armor are Amethysts for DMG or Rubies for more tankiness. On Ramaladni, the most important stat is to get 0.5% damage per fury as all our Fury turns into %(x). If Fury gen still remains an issue, for super min max, we can play just 1x GA resistance on pants and either masterwork it 3 times to reach 70% cap at the cost of some STR or reach the cap with Incense. That will allow us to play 8 Fury per second on boots over resistances, which will completely negate the fury loss from Ramaladni.
strengths
- Insanely fun to play
- Good AoE
- Bypasses 100% dodge in PvP
weaknesses
- Lower single target DMG
- Bleed builds are super reliant on BiS gear
Build Notes
- Stack enemies with Steel Grasp to hit as many as possible with Rend
- Rotate Iron Skin with shouts to have 100% uptime on all three
- Spam the hell out of Rend and watch enemies bleed
- Use Rupture everytime Wanton Aspect is up (Golden Border around Rupture) for massive attack speed buff and AoE explosion without removing the bleeds from enemies
This is an endgame build as it relies on massive amounts of uniques with very precise stats to reach its full potential. This build focuses on precisely min maxing all our paragon board multipliers as well as going all in on our Creeping Death Aspect with several Crowd Control tempers and Fists of Fate as well as going all in on our Ramaladni sword that increases our damage through our max Fury.
NOTES:
1.If survivability is very good, we can masterwork crit strike chance on Rage of Harrogath as well as Fists of Fate, which would let us play %STR on our amulet or Pit Fighter / Slaking Strikes for even more DPS. Another option would be CDR, but with Shako giving us 44% and Harrogath lowering our cooldowns, it should not be needed. And the last option would be attack speed.
2.Depending on whether Aspect of Retribution is still bugged and double dips, we might play it on our 2H sword and move wanton on 1H, removing accelerating. EDIT: This has been fixed in season 5
3.As GF gained a lot of value with recent changes, even working really well for Ramaladni with its extra fury, we might end up playing it if Retribution Aspect no longer double dips. Will need to be tested how much value GF has now that GW was changed and CSD only becomes an additive, no longer multiplicative.
4.Territorial glyph can be exchanged for Exploit for easier spread of vulnerable (Rend will then prolong it forever) if you are struggling with doing it through Steel Grasp. That will make us move some stuff around like gems in weapons to not overcap on Hemorrhage node.
EDIT: As close damage temper got nerfed, CSD is back at max value for Gushing Wounds as we now have 100% Critical strike chance.
