This weapon gets a buff after a kill, which allows the user to freeze its next target. To utilize this weapon well you need to play aggressively and up close to be able to capitalize on the targets that are frozen. Pair this weapon with an energy slot shotgun or grenade launcher such as Matador 64, Retold Tale, or Orewing's Maul which can 1 shot an enemy frozen by Cryosthesia's freeze shot, shattering and killing the enemy which will reload Cryosthesia if the catalyst is obtained.
