Linear Fusion rifles have very high aim assist and ease of use. They aren't seen much in PvP as they utilize Heavy Ammo. This is where Arbalest comes into play as it utilizes Special Ammo. This allows players to use this weapon similar to a Sniper Rifle, but with very forgiving aim assist. In PvE it has good utility as it deals solid DPS for a special weapon, it breaks any elemental shield, and destroys Champion Barriers. This weapon also has Disruption Break which then makes it deal more damage to Champions and enemies that had their shields broken. Arbalest is a great nightfall weapon because of these characteristics, but with the elimination of match game the shield-agnostic capabilities of this weapon isn't as imperative as it once used to be.
