Destiny 2 Warlock BuildDeimosuffusion Praxic Blade Build

The subclass setup for this build is straightforward. Use pure Strand on your Warlock. We'll be building into a lot of pure Strand synergies.

You'll have Needlestorm for a super, which is respectable with the recent changes to how it works. It's particularly useful for tanky targets like bosses, minibosses, champs, or even large groups of adds.

Use the Healing Rift with this build. We'll want the healing benefits as well as the potential overshield that it can provide while we're hacking away with our Praxic Blade.

The melee ability will be Arcane Needle, but we won't actually ever use the melee. The melee energy will be saved solely for Weavewalk. We'll get back to this concept further down.

As for your grenade, I recommend the Shackle Grenade simply because it gives you another way to suspend enemies and benefit from the Deimosuffusion suspend perks (damage over time and healing). You'll be using the Praxic Blade 95% of the time, which requires you to be up close and personal with your enemies. The Shackle Grenade can buy you time to close the distance when a threatening enemy is too far away to suspend with your rift.

We'll be using the Weavewalk aspect for this build. Weavewalk gives you an emergency escape option for when things get a little too hot for comfort. Since you'll be using the Praxic Blade 95% of the time, normally your melee would go to waste. With this build, you get to put your melee energy to use with Weavewalk (Weavewalk requires and consumes melee energy). While in Weavewalk, you have 90% damage resist and you generate perched Threadlings. And when you exit Weavewalk, you and any nearby allies will gain Woven Mail (45% damage resist) for 2-20 seconds depending on how long you were in Weavewalk.

Because the gameplay loop here will have you constantly casting your rift, the Weaver's Call aspect is going to be a great fit. It will spawn 3 Threadlings every time you cast your rift. It will also deploy any perched Threadlings that you might have, including any that you generated by using Weavewalk. All of these Threadlings are simply going to add to your damage output as you constantly repeat the gameplay loop.

The fragment use for this build further leans into all of the gameplay loop synergies and is focused on maximizing ability uptime, survivability, and perk effects. I would strongly suggest sticking to the fragment loadout defined here.

Fragments:

• Thread of Evolution - This will allow our Threadlings to travel farther and, more importantly, do more damage. We're going to be generating a lot of Threadlings with the constant rift casting and Weaver's Call.
• Thread of Continuity - This will ensure that our suspend and sever effects have an increased duration. This build is heavily relying on both of these effects.
• Thread of Warding - This will grant us Woven Mail every time we pick up an Orb of Power. Woven Mail is a great source of damage resist and we'll ensure that we have a steady flow of orbs through mods and perks.
• Thread of Generation - Any damage that we deal will also generate grenade energy. This is going to help us keep up the Shackle Grenade for closing distances on enemies.
• Thread of Mind - Defeating suspended targets will grant class ability energy, which is the basis of our gameplay loop.

Aside from the obvious use of Deimosuffusion, this build requires at least the 2-piece armor set bonus from the Sage Protector (Equilibrium Dungeon) armor set, Combat Meditation. This set bonus will grant grenade and class energy on sword hits. This is a critical synergy that will ensure that you have your class ability constantly through the use of the Praxic Blade.

Your other armor set bonus is flexible, but I like the Swordmaster set (damage with a sword exhausts the target). Other viable options include:

• Smoke Jumper (Pick up an Orb of Power to gain a brief period of rapidly decaying damage reduction)
• Techsec (Deal significantly increased kinetic damage to combatant shields, overshields, vehicles, and constructs)
• 4-piece Sage Protector (Briefly guard with a sword to gain increased sword damage and lunge distance)

As for stat distribution, here are the requirements:

• Class (100) - Very limited benefit to > 100. Keep this as close as possible to 100.
• Melee (100) - No benefit to > 100. Keep this as close as possible to 100.
• Super (100+) - Anything over 100 is going to help with DPS scenarios.
• Grenade (100) - This will be difficult to get to 100 after the first three stats, but try to get as close as possible. The uptime is what we're after, not the damage bonus granted over 100.
• Weapons - Whatever else you can allocate, allocate it here instead of Health.
• Health - Don't even worry about it.

Armor mods aren't critical, but they simply further enhance the build. I highly suggest starting with something similar to what is outlined here and fine tune to your playstyle and observed strengths and weaknesses.

You will be using the Praxic Blade 95% of the time. I suggest using the Offensive Form, Forceful Blade III, and Impact Core to build into impact/damage. As for the catalyst, I prefer the Energy Conduit trait to give another option for healing as a last resort.

That said, your energy and power weapons can be flexible. Just remember to cover your bases if the activity includes champions (you will already have the intrinsic Anti-Barrier capabilities of the Praxic Blade). Most of the time, your energy and power weapons will only come out for stunning Overload or Unstoppable Champions, DPS rotations, mechanics (like switches or panels that need to be shot), or when you need to pick off a far away enemy.

There are a lot of impactful artifact perks in the Lawless Season (Season 28). Be sure to check that you have these properly equipped to get the most out of this build. I've ranked them into tiers that are specific to this build:

S Tier (Must-Have):

• Sword Storm Combo

A Tier (Strongly Recommended):

• Combination Argent Blade
• Elemental Siphon
• Armorsmith
• Counter Energy

B Tier (Beneficial if used properly):

• Riposte
• Expert Handling

C Tier (These perks will likely require synergy with your fireteam to be useful):

• Singularity Blade
• Power from Pain
• Kinetic Rupture

Conditional Tier (Weapon/Activity Dependent)*:

• Overload Pulse Rifle
• Overload Submachine Gun
• Unstoppable Bow

Note that the Praxic Blade has intrinsic Anti-Barrier* capabilities.

This build has been carefully crafted to maximize the synergy of the perks, effects, and mods. When implemented as presented, you will regularly have an effective Damage Resist of 77% (this will come via Exhaust, Sever, New Gear Bonus, and at least one Chest Resistance mod). This can easily spike to 90%+ via another Chest Resistance and Woven Mail. And when you enter Weavewalk, you will likely have an effective Damage Resist value between 94-99%, making you essentially invincible during Weavewalk.

This is why it is critical to be mindful of deviations from the build as presented.

• Sword Guard - Activated manually, buffed by Press the Advantage and Expert Handling.
• Critical Health - Activated when shields are depleted.
