How It Works

This is the first in a series of builds that play with the theme of opposites. Void and Strand being elemental opposites will be theme for this build. This is not meant to do max DPS, or keep you alive in solo GM Nightfalls. This is just for fun, plain and simple.

Off the bat you have suppression grenades to suppress, and weaken targets. Grenade kills give you volatile rounds, and melee kills give you unraveling rounds. Drengr's Lash suspends targets in the air for easy clean up. All three champions can be taken care of with a little set up. For an easier time dealing with barrier champions facet of dawn can be used, if barriers aren't an issue, than facet of command can take its place.

Facet of solitude and courage work hand in hand. As landing multiple precision hits on a target severs them, and when a target has a darkness debuff your light abilities are given a (10%) damage bonus. When timed correctly, you can sever or suspend a target then hit them with an unbreakable blast.

In the primary slot: The Call can roll with strategist and hatchling. Allowing you to use your class ability more and threadlings assist in building your darkness transcendence meter. Suspended targets also work for facet of courage.

In the energy slot: I like using Reckless Oracle, but you can use whatever option you want as long as it's A. a void primary, and B. has the perk demolitionist. Demo is needed to get back unbreakable as fast as possible.

In the heavy slot: Open, you can use whatever you want. I've used deterministic chaos for the guaranteed anti-barrier properties before. Totally up to you.

I am choosing Spirit of the Bear/Verity (Sot B/V) for this build. Your void weapon will be your main driver as verity needs your grenade and weapon kills to be the same element. You can use whatever you want as long as the weapon can roll with Demolitionist. Unbreakable kills will work with facet of bravery giving your weapon volatile rounds. Which further feeds into the loop of getting your grenade back to give you another unbreakable charge. Which casually binds the user in a loop... You're going to want to sever or suspend the target first then blast them with a max verity charged unbreakable.

You are also given super energy back with Sot Bear so you can be free to use Twilight Arsenal or Bladefury as much as you want.

Armor stats should max resilience and discipline. That said, I like running a 30mob, 100res, 70rec, 70dis, 30int, 70str spread. If something has to give I drop mobility, then recovery.

Gameplay Loop
  1. Get Spirit of Verity to max stacks.
  1. Suspend (class ability) or Sever (melee or rapid precision hits) a target.
  1. Quickly unload an Unbreakable blast.
  1. Gather grenade and barricade energy
  1. Repeat.

If champions get in your way, suspend the unstoppable ones, suppress the overloads, and pray there are adds for you to get either a melee or grenade kill.
