How It Works

There's not much to explain here that isn't explained in the gameplay loop section so I'm going to use this for notes.

  • The optimized stats for the build based on armor I have is: T10 Res, T6: Dis, Str, & Int, T5 Rec, T2 Mob, but high Dis and Str are the main points after Res so you can get as many Grenades as possible and as many Shields as possible.
  • It's important to remember that after this Episode ends, Void Hegemony will be going away so Strength will be more important than Discipline as your Melee will be your only source of Void Overshield on this build.
  • The Kinetic Slot is personal preference, Bold Endings or The Call are my choices as that gives you two Pale Heart Weapons for Dealer's Choice which gives you a decent amount of Super Energy on Kills and both Bold Endings and The Call can easily get multi-kills. I prefer Bold Endings with a Reload Speed Enhanced Intrinsic + Fluted Barrel + Tactical Mag + Enhanced Headstone + Enhanced Dragonfly with a Backup Mag Mod (pending upcoming Weapon Mod Rework) on. This gives decent stats across the board and, specifically a Reload Speed of 51(compared to its Base 26 Reload Speed) whilst giving you 58 Range, 47 Stability, 41 Handling, & 24 Rounds in the Magazine. Headstone and Dragonfly made clearing groups of Adds as simple as getting a headshot and then Shattering the Crystal (if needed), but if you want to go Damage Buffs, you have Desperate Measures (you could use Collective Action as Dragon's Breath is going to be making a lot of Firesprites, but Desperate Measures is a 20%/30% for 1/2 Grenade/Melee Kills and a 10% Damage Buff for Weapon Kills so it's just better in general. Golden Tricorn would only ever be a 15% Damage Buff on this set up as you don't have a Stasis Melee or Grenade) or if you want more Ability Energy you could go with Strategist + Demolitionist. The Call, essentially, has no bad rolls so use what you want there. Multi-Kill Clip is a lot more viable here as you can easily get multi-kills due to The Call being a Rocket Sidearm, three kills with one rocket is crazy easy. Lead from Gold will give you more Special for picking up Heavy so it's a no brainer given you'll be using The Call as a Primary more so than a Special.
  • The mods are mostly preference based, but given you're throwing a lot of Grenades and Shields (which get double buffed from Bulwark and Shieldcrush so they're actually decent for damage) Firepower and Heavy Handed are advisable and triple Harmonic Reserves is definitely a must just so you have more ammo for Embraced Identity.
  • Recovery isn't as important on this build due to the amount of healing and Void Overshields you should be getting from Volatile and Shield Throw.
  • The use of Vortex Grenades is due to the fact that, with Undermining, each tick reapplies Weaken and I don't know if Spikes do the same, if they do, then it's Dealer's Choice for Lingering Grenade.
  • If you want even more Void Overshields, consider Bulwark Finisher.
  • Recuperation could be more useful than Better Already given how many Orbs you generate with this build.

This build is subject to change under the following circumstances: Controlled Demolitionist and Sol Invictus come to Prismatic Titan.

Gameplay Loop

The point of this Build is to make everything explode. How are you surviving? Overshields and Explosions. You are literally too pissed to die.

  • Throw your Grenade. Always start by throwing your Grenade. It's your primary source of Weakening, which triggers Void Hegemony and Expanding Abyss it's a Source of Void Overshields, and because it's a source of Void Overshields, it's a source of Grenade Energy and Melee Energy as well through Offensive Bulwark and Shieldcrush so this is very important. You're also applying Volatile through Controlled Demolitionist, this is important as CD is one of your main sources of Healing on this build.
  • When you start an engagement without a Grenade or a low Void Overshield: Throw your Shield. The reason I advise the use of Shield Throw over Shield Bash is simple. Shield Throw keeps you out of danger when you're getting your Void Overshield and it applies Volatile at a safe distance as opposed to Shield Bash which requires you to sprint at an enemy.
  • When you have a Void Overshield, Throw yourself into the fray. This may sound scary, but Offensive Bulwark's rework means you gain Void Overshield whenever you defeat an enemy with a Melee. Additionally, when you have a Void Overshield, both Offensive Bulwark and Shieldcrush increase the damage of your Uncharged but now Void Empowered Melee. The "Void Empowerment" is important as it classifies your Uncharged Melee as a Void Ability, thusly procing Controlled Demolitionist and Echo of Expulsion, which also counts as an ability and applies Volatile as well, and you will be starting Health Regen from Echo of Leeching in addition to Controlled Demolitionist's Volatile Explosion Healing.
  • Whilst in the Fray, in addition to Melees, throw Grenades when you get them for Weaking, OS, & Volatile Healing.

Boss DPS is: Grenade -> Shield Throw -> Super -> Barricade -> Dragon's Breath -> Embraced Identity (Appended Mag, Enhanced: Rewind Rounds + FTtC, Back-Up Mag), reproc as needed.
