Build Details

How It Works

UPDATE 08/29/24: This build hasnt held out as well as I thought it would over different content. Like alot of other fun builds it works best in add rich content.

So, I really like Outbreak and some other kinetic primaries. I put this build together around kinetic primaries. This build gives your kinetic weapons scorch and an explosion on kill. Honestly, I ran this in matchmade NF Luminality a few times last night and with outbreak this build was much better than I ever thought it would be. I actually was getting 250 to 350 kills in there with this.

Abilities:

  • Song of Flame: Great super and causes your kinetic weapon to cause explosions that scorch on precision kills with Chromatic Fire exotic.
  • Phoenix Dive: Shortest cool down that creates Hellion.
  • Arcane Needle: Extra charges, distance melee, causes Unravel
  • Cold Snap Grenade: Flows well with this build with great up time. (Good For Champs)
  • If you want to maximize scorch you can switch Arcane Needle with Incinerator Snap but you will loose extra ranged melee, unraveling, and be really light heavy on prismatic.

Aspects:

  • Feed The Void: Creates grenade energy and heals. IT is the GOAT.
  • Hellion: Little buddy that passively damages and creates scorch

Fragments:

  • Facet of Grace: Kinetic transcendence synergy
  • Facet of Balance: Ability up-time generator
  • Facet of Dawn: 25% buff to weapon damage! Need that primary to melt.
  • Facet of Ruin: Synergy with ignitions and with stasis, increasing damage and spread. (cold snap, super, and scorch from kinetic weapon)

Armor Mods: I curated these to balance ability regen, while buffing kinetic damage. Double surge mods is a must in my opinion. We will generate orbs through melee and kinetic weapon kills.

Weapons:

  • Top Slot: I recommend Outbreak, but you can use any face melting kinetic you like here. I do recommend an exotic though as they intrinsically do more damage.
  • Middle Slot: FLEXIBLE but I do recommend a heavy hitter that helps ability regen. It you can I would also consider using something for a champion as needed. I use Aberrant Action with PUG/Demo. If I get low on abilities I can kill quickly with this and reset. Solar weapons with one regen mod and another incandesent would be great too.
  • Heavy: FLEXIBLE: Use what you need or like. Solar will always have the most synergy but does really matter.

GREAT KINETICS FOR THIS:

  • Outbreak is a banger
  • Khvostov is good but no current artifact synergy
  • Dead Mans Tale recently got a buff and is currently Unstop
  • Bad Juju is better than you remember and is getting a buff soon. Adding explosions and scorch to this is great. String of curseses adds DMG and it is currently anti- barrier. Kills build super!
  • Legendary will vary but I really like Midnight Coup with EP and One for All.
  • If you find a good legendary kinetic then you can use MICROCOSM. Not really an add clear weapon but may be fun to try with scorch and explosions.

Artifact Mods:

  • Radiant Orbs: To help keep Radiant up all the time
  • Creeping Chill: Synergy with Coldsnap Grenades
  • Solar Fulmination: Synergy with scorch and ignitions
  • Everything else pretty standard

Final Note: I have not built around other supers yet except for Void. Void is fine but was not as effective as Solar imo.

Gameplay Loop
  1. Get easy kill with ability to start devour
  2. Melt things with a scorching exotic kinetic primary weapon
  3. Sprinkle in abilities where they fit and often. Keep devour up. (devour refreshes on kill)
  4. Pop prismatic often, build pretty fast. Prismatic offers weapon damage increases and ability spam both.
  5. Use super when needed but don't sit on it all the time.
