Pyrogale Gauntlets – Titan Solar Damage Build (Beginner-Friendly)
It’s been a while since we talked about Pyrogale Gauntlets, but in Edge of Fate, this Titan Exotic is back and better than ever.
Why They’re Good Again When Bolt Charges were added, Thundercrash became the top Titan DPS Super because it’s simple and powerful. But with the new armor system changes, Pyrogale Gauntlets have gotten huge buffs — in the right situation, they can even outdamage Thundercrash with Cuirass.
The gauntlets’ perk, Percussive Flames, changes your Burning Maul Super from a spinning hammer into one massive slam that deals 650% more damage.
How the Super Works When you slam down with Burning Maul:
You deal a huge initial hit.
Three Solar shockwaves spread out.
Any enemies hit are Scorched (burned).
Each wave creates a fire cyclone when it hits an enemy.
Cyclones overlap damage if an enemy is hit by all three.
Cyclones keep applying Scorch, causing Ignitions (explosions) for even more damage.
More Ignitions = way more DPS over time.
Extra Bonus – Consecration Melee If you use the Consecration Aspect (Solar slide + melee slam), you’ll make smaller versions of those cyclones. They don’t hit as hard as the Super version, but they still add damage.
Build Focus The main reason to use Pyrogale Gauntlets is insane Super damage, but this build also:
Gives you more survivability.
Regens your abilities extremely fast.
Lets you use your Super multiple times per encounter, not just for bosses.
Aspects Roaring Flames – Increases all Solar ability damage (up to +200% for melees, +73% for grenades and supers). Lasts 20s, enough to carry into most boss phases.
Consecration – Strong melee slam for extra damage and ignition chains.
Optional swap: Sol Invictus for survivability if you’re doing harder activities.
Fragments You’ll have 4–5 slots depending on your Aspect choices. Key ones:
Ember of Ashes – Doubles Scorch stacks → more Ignitions.
Ember of Char – Ignitions spread Scorch to nearby enemies.
Ember of Eruption – Ignitions have 25% bigger radius.
Ember of Wonder – Orbs of Power from Ignition kills (faster Super recharge).
Ember of Searing – Melee energy + Firesprites from killing Scorched enemies.
Optional: Ember of Torches for Radiance on powered melee hits (less needed here due to artifact mods).
Stats to Prioritize Super (Intellect) – Get to 200 if possible for 30% more Burning Maul damage and very fast regen.
Melee (Strength) – Boosts Consecration uptime.
Use Paragon Armor or mods like Font of Wisdom/Focus to hit stat caps.
Weapons Exotics:
Outbreak Perfected – Generates Super energy super fast. Lets you get 2–3 Burning Mauls in one DPS phase.
Other Solar options: Dragon’s Breath, Sunshot.
Utility: The Navigator (Strand trace rifle) for Woven Mail + Sever.
Legendaries:
Solar weapons with Burning Ambition (applies Scorch to bosses) or Incandescent for clearing adds.
Grenade Launchers with Demolitionist, Envious Arsenal, or Auto-Loading for sustained damage.
Weapons with Attrition Orbs to feed armor charge mods.
Artifact Mods That Help Fever and Chill – Radiance from precision hits, Frost Armor from Stasis hits.
Elemental Overdrive – +10% Solar weapon damage after picking up Firesprites.
Cauterized Darkness – +30% Solar ability damage vs debuffed enemies (Sever, Unravel, etc.).
Shield Crush – Grenade or melee buffs when Radiant, Frost Armor, Void Overshield, or Woven Mail is active.
Armor Synergies Bushido Set – Bonus health on kills with freshly drawn weapon.
Solstice Set – More health on Solar kills.
Raid Set – Longer Restoration, Radiance, and other buff timers.
Bottom line: If you want a Titan Solar build that makes your Super hit like a truck, melts bosses, and still gives you strong ability uptime, Pyrogale Gauntlets with Roaring Flames is one of the best setups you can run right now.
Step 1: Apply Dark Debuff Step 2: Use Throwing Hammers until at x3 Roaring Flames. Step 3: Use Consecration Step 4: Follow up with Weapon Rotations (Re-apply debuffs) Step 5: Use Grenade/Barricade when needed Step 6: Use Hammers and Consecration as often as possible. Step 7: Use Super on High Value Targets (Pop before they spawn)
