How It Works

How Cyrtarachne’s Facade Works

This helmet comes with the perk Acrobat’s Focus, which works with the Strand Grapple grenade.

Every time you Grapple, you gain Woven Mail for 10 seconds (normally it only lasts 5).

While Woven Mail is active, you get less flinch (your aim won’t bounce as much when you’re hit).

You also heal for 10 health every time you defeat an enemy. That may sound small, but it adds up quickly during fights.

On top of that, Woven Mail gives you 45% extra damage resistance, making you much tankier.

So with this exotic, your Grapple is not just movement—it’s constant survivability.

Keeping Grapple Up

To make this build shine, we need to keep Grapple up as much as possible. Here’s how:

Use Widow’s Silk, an Aspect that gives you two Grapple charges.

Invest in your Discipline stat (Grenade cooldown). At 100 Discipline, your Grenades recharge super fast, and Orb-based mods like Innervation give you nearly double the energy back.

Artifact mods like Tightly Woven and Shield Crush give you even more Grenade regen and bonus Grapple damage while Woven Mail is active.

This means you’ll have near-infinite Grapples, which means near-infinite Woven Mail.

Boosting Damage

Woven Mail already makes you stronger defensively, but with the right mods and gear, Grapple itself hits like a truck.

Shield Crush gives Grapple +12% damage when Woven Mail is active.

Pair this with Radiance (for another +12% Grapple damage and faster regen). You can trigger Radiance using the Fever and Chill artifact mod, which procs off precision hits with a Solar weapon.

Radiance also boosts all your weapons by +20% damage and lets you break Barrier shields.

For armor, we’re using the Collective Psyche raid set, which increases the duration of Radiance and all your Strand debuffs (Sever, Unravel, Suspend) by 50%. This extends Radiance to 15 seconds and makes debuffs last much longer.

Aspects & Fragments

Whirling Maelstrom: Creates deadly “Strand Beyblades” when you destroy Tangles. They chase enemies and apply Unravel for passive damage.

Alternative: Threaded Specter, which creates Threadlings and distracts enemies.

Fragments:

Thread of Ascent – Reloads your weapon after Grappling. Perfect for shotguns or any weapon swap combo.

Thread of Generation – Damaging enemies gives you grenade energy.

Thread of Continuity – Extends the duration of Sever, Unravel, and Suspend.

Thread of Evolution – Makes Threadlings stronger and travel farther.

With the new Threadling Proliferation mod, you’ll spawn Threadlings just by damaging enemies with Strand weapons. Stack this with Pack Tactics, which makes each Threadling hit harder, and suddenly even your adds are carrying fights for you.

Weapons

For weapons, here’s what works best with this build:

Solar primaries (for Radiance through Fever and Chill). Perks like Demolitionist or Pugilist give even more energy back.

Strand weapons with Hatchling – spawn extra Threadlings to benefit from Pack Tactics.

Exotics:

Maliphas – strong with suspensions.

Quicksilver Storm – great synergy with Strand.

The Navigator – gives extra Grapple anchor points to save grenade energy.

Why This Build Works

This setup covers everything you need:

Constant Woven Mail for 45% damage resistance.

Health regeneration on every kill.

Infinite Grapples for both movement and survival.

Huge Grapple damage boosts, Radiance uptime, and extended debuffs.

Multiple ways to control enemies with Suspend, Sever, and Unravel.

Extra damage from Threadlings, weapons, and debuffs all stacked together.

This is easily one of the strongest Hunter Strand builds right now—both safe and powerful in all content, from strikes to endgame.

Video Guide
Gameplay Loop

Step 1: Land Precision Shots with Solar Weapons until Radiance is Active. Step 2: Use First Grapple Charge on Enemies Step 3: Dodge Away from Enemy Step 4: Use Threaded Spike To Sever Step 5: Pick up Tangle and Throw it Step 6: Target Beyblade with Grapple and Attack Enemies. Step 7: Follow up with Weapons Step 8: Use Super vs Dense Groups of Enemies and High Value Targets Step 9: Activate Woven Mail before Going into Silk Strike Step 10: If no Beyblade to Anchor too, Grapple to Existing Anchors or Use Navigator to create Extra (This will conserve Grenade Energy) Step 11: When Radiance Goes Away, Swap Back to Solar Weapon to Re-Activate
