Today, we're diving into a new Titan build featuring an exotic that recently received some performance updates, improving survivability for Prismatic Titans.
While the Prismatic Titan has been strong in recent months, one major downside has been the lack of health regeneration abilities like Devour. In the past, the only reliable way to trigger Devour was using the Buried Bloodline exotic sidearm. However, thanks to recent reworks to several exotics, the Mask of the Quiet One has become a top-tier option for Prismatic Titans.
This exotic now grants Devour to the user, with its intrinsic trait, Dreaded Visage, offering several key benefits. When you're at critical health, securing a final blow restores up to 100 health points. Additionally, any damage taken will grant a 5% energy boost to your Melee, Grenade, and Class abilities. There's a 1-second cooldown between activations, but it provides a substantial energy boost, almost like having the benefits of Heart of Inmost Light.
The final perk of this exotic is that when you defeat at least 3 enemies or secure a final blow while at critical health, you’ll gain the Devour buff. To trigger this while using Prismatic, you'll need to equip Twilight Arsenal, and Devour starts with a 6-second timer. As you defeat more enemies, the timer extends up to 11 seconds, and every final blow provides bonus health and grenade energy. The amount of grenade energy depends on the enemy's difficulty, ranging from 7% to 20%, dramatically boosting your grenade uptime.
With Mask of the Quiet One, we get a massive increase in the uptime of all abilities while also providing a consistent health recovery source. While we might lose out on the bonus super damage from exotics like StarEater or the bonus melee damage from Synthoceps, the health regen and energy boosts make us nearly unstoppable in any activity.
To make the most of this exotic’s bonus energy, we’ll be running a Consecration-focused setup, as it’s currently the most effective. Having up to 3 Frenzied Blade charges with improved recharge time means more Consecrations, allowing us to quickly trigger and maintain Devour. Pairing this with Diamond Lance gives us a reliable way to freeze enemies, which synergizes well with several new artifact mods.
When Diamond Lances slam into the ground, they grant us and our teammates 2 stacks of Frost Armor, increasing our survivability. For grenades, we’re using Shackle Grenades to suspend enemies before dropping Consecration. With Devour and Mask of the Quiet One providing grenade energy, we can suspend many enemies.
Now, let’s talk about fragments. We have 6 to choose from, starting with Facet of Dawn, which grants Radiance after striking enemies with Consecration. Radiance increases weapon damage by 25% and lets us pierce Barrier Champion shields.
Facet of Courage boosts our Light abilities by 10% against slowed, frozen, or suspended enemies. Facet of Ruin increases the damage of Shattering effects and expands the radius of Ignitions and Shatter. Facet of Protection enhances survivability, granting 15% damage resistance when surrounded by 3 or more enemies, and 32% when in Transcendence.
Facet of Purpose gives us Void Overshields when collecting Orbs, providing 70% damage resistance, which helps us survive intense situations. Finally, Facet of Balance improves ability uptime, granting bonus melee energy when defeating enemies with Light abilities and grenade energy when using Dark abilities.
With the bonus energy from Devour, Mask of the Quiet One, and Facet of Balance, our Melee and Grenade abilities will regenerate rapidly, keeping Consecration and Shackle Grenades active.
Now, let’s move on to weapon loadouts. While Mask of the Quiet One doesn’t require a specific weapon type, the Monte Carlo works great due to its bonus melee energy generation, complementing the build’s focus on ability energy. For endgame activities like Grandmaster Nightfalls, weapons like Outbreak Perfected or Revision Zero are better choices.
Other useful exotics include Touch of Malice or Tommy’s Matchbook, which inflict self-damage to trigger health recovery and Devour activation. For companion weapons, Grenade Launchers like Velocity Baton or Explosive Personality are great choices, especially since they can stun Overload Champions. Explosive Personality has the added benefit of Disruption Break, increasing the damage of kinetic weapons after breaking shields.
Weapons with Demolitionist and Pugilist perks will also improve grenade and melee uptime.
As for artifact mods, we’re using Concussive Reload to weaken high-value targets by 15% when using breach-load Grenade Launchers. Conductive Cosmic Crystal provides a 5% damage boost against slowed or frozen targets, useful for Void and Arc abilities. Curative Orbs and The Thick of It will increase orb and armor charge production, helping recharge abilities faster.
Finally, for armor mods, the focus is on creating Orbs of Power and improving Consecration uptime. With Helmet Siphon Mods, Heavy Handed, and Reaper, we can consistently create Orbs, fueling Melee Kickstart to convert armor charges into more melee energy.
Between our fragments, exotic, and armor mods, we’ll have an endless supply of grenades and melees, keeping Devour active to ensure we stay safe and dominate the battlefield.
