How It Works

This build revolves around any exotic class item with Spirit of Osmiomancy to make your grenades recharge quicker on hits. This is very strong, allowing you to get about half of your grenade back completely for free. So we’re going to use this to double down on vortex grenades. The reason for vortex grenade is because this grenade is the most consistent with osmiomancy, and we can pair it with facet of dominance to weaken everything we hit with our grenades. We’re going to be throwing a lot of grenades so this will increase all of your damage by 15%, including the grenade itself. Now osmiomancy gives us about half, how are we getting the other half? Well we have feed the void to give us devour each time we get an ability kill, and while we have devour, all kills will grant a little bit of grenade energy. We also facet of balance to get even more grenade energy each time we kill enemies with either stasis or strand damage, and two weapons with demolitionist. One that is either strand or stasis to benefit from facet of balance, and another one that is void. The weapons I chose are the call and word of crota. Demolitionist will ensure we get our grenades back in only a few seconds and the reason we want a void weapon is because we’re running Facet of Bravery. Kills with grenades will give our void weapons volatile rounds. Since we’re getting so many grenade kills, this will be active most of the time. And since getting grenades is not a problem, I decided to use bleak watcher to convert our grenades into stasis turrets that slow and freeze enemies. This makes it way easier to control the battlefield especially in high level content and we have some grenades to spare so we might as well use them. And because of this, the other fragments are facet of ruin to increase the size and damage of everything we shatter, and facet of command to give us a bunch of buffs each time a stasis turret freezes something. I didn’t go over the other exotic perk on the class item because it’s mostly whatever you can get your hands on. Spirit of verity is probably the best, giving you more grenade damage by killing things things with your void weapon, and you could probably make an argument for starfire and also battle harmony, but the one I managed to get was Spirit of Star Eater to give my nova bomb a significant damage buff which is definitely the best for burst damage against big bosses. Pick up orbs to activate star eater, throw a grenade to weaken a boss, then pop nova and DPS with your heavy. And when you’re in a more common setting, start by throwing a grenade to get devour, then get kills with your demolitionist weapons and throw more grenades every few kills. Then if you ever need to slow down a fight or lock down an area, turn some of your grenades into stasis turrets and freeze everything.
