Destiny 2 Hunter BuildVolatile Choir
PvEFires extended-range, heavy-caliber projectiles at a reduced rate of fire. Deals increased precision damage when aiming down sights.
Build Details
We’re taking the auto rifle that melts raid bosses and making it even better. Choir of one is the exotic auto rifle that takes special ammo. Because of this, it deals a lot more damage than any other auto rifle. Aiming down sights shoots one bullet at a time or hip firing it makes it shoot 5 projectiles per shot. So with Targeting autoloader, you can get a couple kills with the normal mode to get the full damage buff, then hip fire to absolutely destroy whatever is in your way. And it gets even better because it has other perks like subsistence, destabilizing rounds, and onslaught. With onslaught, you will be able to stack the damage buff AND onslaught with just a couple kills, then dump your entire magazine in less than a second.
Because this is a void weapon, we’re going to pair it with Spirit of Gyrfalcon. This will give our void weapons volatile rounds each time we emerge from invisibility. So just turn invisible once, then shoot this to apply volatile to any target. This makes them explode, dealing a little more damage than what we normally would and it’s really good for ad clear too. And when paired with stylish executioner, this creates an infinite loop where you turn invisible to get volatile rounds, then kill a volatile target to turn invisible, and repeat the process until there’s nothing left to kill.
And since we’re on a hunter, we can apply a weaken effect with tether and the reason I bring this up is because we have another artifact mod called expanding abyss. This will make our void weapons deal more damage to weakened targets. So you pop your super next to a boss, they will take 30% more damage, and then another 5% on top of that. That might not sound amazing but why would you complain about dealing more damage?
Now for the rest of the build we’re focusing on buffing our damage even more and looking for ways to stay alive while we get up in a boss’s face and blow our load. So we have Facet of dawn to become radiant just by throwing a shuriken, Facet of Protection to get damage resistance whenever we’re near an enemy, and we are still using Sustained fire for another resistance, and galvanic armor for even more resistance, Facet of Command will automatically reload our weapon whenever another enemy enters the tether, Facet of dominance if we need to weaken something and we don’t have our tether, and facet of balance to get our grenades and melees back faster.
This build is insanely powerful and I hate that it’s going away. Not only is the artifact changing in episode 2, but Choir of One is actually getting nerfed at the same time. It’s currently dealing a lot more damage than intended and it’s definitely "not" because they overtuned it so we’ll play the game more.
