How It Works

This is the most fun build I've played in a long time. You can trigger Bolt Charge every 2 seconds and deal some insane damage. Bolt Charge is a new keyword in Destiny. In order to get bolt charge you need either an ability or weapon perk to give you your first stack, then as you deal damage with your weapons, you will slowly gain more stacks. At 10 stacks, any ability damage will call down a bolt of lightning on your target, which is useful for adding more damage to your attacks.

Storm's Keep is a new aspect that enhances your barricade by surrounding it with lightning. While you're behind your barricade, you will slowly gain stacks of bolt charge and you'll be able to release your bolt charge with your weapons. So this will passively deal damage while you shoot, making it great to throw into DPS phases.

If you pair this enhanced barricade with weapons that deal damage over time like Le Monarque or Psychopomp, these will build up bolt charge much faster than other weapons so these benefit the most from Storm's Keep. And thanks to the artifact, our void weapons can also apply volatile for even more explosions.

The fragments are pretty straight forward: Spark of Frequency so whenever you would get bolt charge while amplified, you get 1 additional stack Spark of Focus so we can get our barricades back faster Spark of Shock to apply jolt with our grenades (this will activate Dielectric in the artifact for more bolt charge stacks) Spark of Resistance to help keep us alive whenever we're surrounded by enemies

And since we plan on using our barricades often, let's throw in Hazardous Propulsion to send out missiles each time we place our barricade. This will provide more damage and make up for the downtime we have whenever we have to place the barricade.

Everything else is pretty self explanatory.

  1. Place Barricade to build up stacks of Bolt Charge and launch missiles
  2. DPS with Le Monarque to trigger Volatile and Bolt Charge over and over
  3. Refresh Barricade
  4. Repeat
