Build Details
Praxic Blade and Stronghold are the foundation of this build. Solar subclass allows Restoration x2 to last almost indefinitely, and gives attacks with Praxic Blade the ability to scorch and ignite targets for even more damage. Hyperblade trait on Praxic Blade will provide Amplified which grants even more damage resistance and makes enemies less accurate toward you.
Your other weapons do not matter. At all. You don't need them. They are objectively worse than Praxic Blade. But as a recommendation, try a long-range energy slot weapon and an eager edge sword for movement. Double special works fine on this build if you have a Special Finder mod.
Praxic Blade Mods 1. Offensive Form (or Balanced for lower-difficulty content) 2. Forceful Blade III (by far the best option here) 3. Impact Core 4. Hyperblade (can swap to any other trait in this slot if you die to lunging off a cliff too much)
Ideal Stat priorities are: (can use fonts if needed) 1. Weapons at 200 2. Grenade at 100 exactly 3. Health above 100 if possible 4. Class above 100 if possible 5. Melee stat can go up to 100 6. Super stat doesn't matter
Note: Dim link shows the current state of my build in-game, not the ideal stats for this build. The build performs incredibly well for me as-is, but it could be even better with the stat priorities above.
Weapon stat at 200 will provide the maximum amount of outgoing damage to all combatants, Health above 100 will provide faster shield regeneration and more health per Orb collected, Class above 100 will provide an overshield when you cast your barricade, and Grenade at 100 will provide more frequent use of your healing grenade in the middle of combat.
You don't need your super here as you have more damage resistance while blocking with Stronghold than in your super.
Loadout Swap Potential Alternatively, in content where you are not dealing with Locked Loadouts or NotSwap, you can swap to a build with Pyrogale gauntlets with high Super stat with Burning Maul Super to pop a high-damage one-shot on Bosses, then back to this build to continue damage.
- Hold block to close the gap to enemies.
- Allow stacks of Perfect Guard to build.
- Attack enemies using Light Attack x3, Heavy Attack x1 combo (will proc Kinetic Synthesis artifact mod allowing for effectively infinite sword ammo.
- Upon attacking enemies with a sword they will be Exhausted (Swordmaster 2-piece). Exhaust reduces an enemy's outgoing damage by 25%.
- Resist x4 persists for about 3 seconds after dropping your guard (Swordmaster 4-piece).
- Receive Restoration x2 for a duration based on Perfect Guard Stacks, healing any damage you took while attacking. Restoration duration is increased by Ember of Solace.
- For high-health targets, swap weapons briefly and melee them with your throwing hammer to proc Radiant with Ember of Torches.
- Block for a short duration between attack combos to keep Resist x4 and Restoration x2 active.
- Repeat until all enemies are defeated.
Note - to play effectively in both Solo and Fireteam content, you should be attacking as much as you are blocking. Stronghold combined with the Swordmaster 4-piece set bonus provides an insane amount of damage resistance. Then you have the healing from Restoration on top of that. Swing that sword!
