Build Details
As a dedicated Voidlock since day 1 of D1 I've always searched for interesting builds solely using this subclass and since Prismatic it's been hard to find one. UNTIL NOW. After a little while of build crafting in the kitchen I have came up with a build that leaves nothing in it's wake, abusing the explosiveness of both Scatter Grenades and Graviton Lance with a little spice from the other weapons involved too.
Goal The primary focuses of this build are to clear ad's as if they weren't even there and to also deal solid damage to bosses to match the versatile nature of prismatic. The ways we achieve this are as follows;
- The enhanced Scatter Grenades from Nothing Manacles as well as the additional charge gives you a quick and effective way to annihilate red bars, also with the tracking granted by the enhancement the solo boss damage of these grenades is relatively high.
- From Echo of Instability and Void Weapon Surge you can maximise the damage of Graviton Lance and the chosen void heavy, further granting more dps on top of void explosions to have even more ad clear.
- With the Voidsoul aspect you chose it grants you the ability to weaken and slow a large area, potentially grouping ad's up for chain kills from your grenades or weapons. Additionally, the Voidsoul is good for the times you need to pick up the damage on those pesky orange and yellow bars.
- With the choice of a area-denial frame grenade launcher like Lost Signal and a void heavy, it allows you to pun intended deny an area of LIFE while also siphoning grenade energy back to you.
The more low-key aspects of this build While making this build I found that certain things started to click together and in ways I never expected it to. To start due to the siphon mods and Ashes to Assets, the super regeneration from all the orbs being created is quite quick. Additionally, while testing the build i found that the heavy weapon slot can really be any void weapon because of the volatile rounds granted by grenade kills, my preference was with rockets or GL's that had Auto-Loading Holster to play a quick swappy dps cycle paired with Lost Signal's Auto-Loading Holster. The heavy weapons i leaned more towards were Faith-Keeper and Edge Transit, but this was just personal preference and because I don't have many other options with decent rolls just yet.
In Conclusion Overall, I'm very happy with how this build turned out. Especially with it's surprising damage, versatility and true Voidlock feel. I pray that with future weapons, mods and armour this build can grow and become like the OG pocket nova's we all miss dearly. I hope you enjoy this build too and I'd love to see and hear about improvements you could make. Enjoy!
- Pop Rift to get Void Soul prepped
- Use Lost Signal to coat the field, gaining some grenade energy
- Chuck Magnetic Grenades at clusters of ad's on the field, weakening and gaining volatile rounds
- Swap to Graviton Lance and clear out the remaining enemies with volatile rounds and it's explosions
- If needed use your heavy weapon for higher hp targets
- Repeat
