Oops All Grenades or Because He's holding a Thermal Detonator!!
With this setup, we ultimately have all of the following fueling grenade up time:
- Grenades recharge grenades
- Weapon and ability kills make grenades
- Melees recharge grenades
- Our dodge and primary also recharges our melee which, again, charges our grenades
- And almost everything recharges our dodge, which recharges….you get the picture
The Praxic Blade with Impact Core and Hyperblade provides:
- Damage resist and Stormtrooperitis from Amplified
- Blocking
- Damage debuffs via Swordmaster armor
- Easy ignitions
For survival, we have multiple sources of healing and damage reduction, Stormtrooperitis from Amplified, can block range attacks to an extent, and debuff hard targets’ damage.
Credit and much love to Mactics for his build video on Young Ahamkara Spine.^ It was very fun, but the issue I had was survivability in hard content. Even playing as I usually try from cover, without any damage resistance, I was getting trounced when well under light level in some spots. And even trying a strategy of face tanking with attrition orbs and Smoke Jumper, was not cutting it.
Fast forward to Renegades, and the Praxic Blade and Swordmaster armor sets complete the puzzle for me.
I have since run this in much Ultimate and Grandmaster content.
In-Depth Explanation
- Draw some fire and block for amplified
- Throw grenades and melees to scorch
- Get some crits with your primary to charge up On Your Mark
- Continue to apply scorch with your sword or primary for ignitions on any tough targets
- Dodge to pick up orbs and recharge melee
For bosses: You can keep the loop going and keep safe-ish by making orbs by using your burning ambition / attrition orbs weapon. Just stay out of stomp range, but in range to pick up orbs via powerful attraction.
