Destiny 2 Hunter BuildBugged Out (Mother Keeper's x Ex Diris)
PvE[Heavy Attack] : Throw your Praxic Blade, which will seek out multiple targets. Attacking recalls the Blade while it is in flight. [Heavy Attack] : Hold to perform a more powerful throw, sending the Blade on a straight path in the direction of your aim. Releasing the button recalls the Blade.
Your grenade becomes a cage of loyal moths that release on impact and fly toward the nearest target or ally. If they reach a target, they detonate in a blinding explosion; if they reach an ally, the moths grant your ally a Void overshield.
strengths
Basically a pet build
Sick pets on tough targets and hide behind cover
weaknesses
Not great with far range
Build Details
Renegades / Change Log- This build still works great as the old Ex Diris version which I am retaining in the details below. The artifact mods though really make this whole kit really shine with the Praxic Blade this season.
I used to recommend variations of the second aspect, but with the buff to Ensnaring Slam given potentially very long Woven Mail, it is a clearer winner.
My kid called this my 'bugged out' build and it fits. We have attack moths, friendly moths, whirling balls of worms, and spider webs.
Why it Works
Stacking multiple sources of damage over time-ish sources on top of you actively doing damage. We have semi-Automated damage from
- Whirling Maelstroms
- Moths, and optionally threadlings
Our goals are mainly to 1) always be able to make tangles off cooldown 2) take best advantage of those worm bundles and 3) make survivability seamless.
We can make tangles via 1) our melee 2) after suspending 3) (optionally) any weapon kill when woven mail is up 4) tangles can actually make more tangles. We want some redundancy because some guardians can't keep their grubby mitts off your tangles!
Pretty simple flow once set up, but more details are below and personal tweaks worth considering.
In-Depth Explanation
- Start off most engagements with a melee kill on a red bar, catching it for the refund.
- throw or shoot tangle
- use special or heavy weapons
- and/or toss grenades if needed.
- pick up orbs.
