Destiny 2 Hunter BuildGhost Pepper Protocol (Speedloader Shenanigans)

• Super for a get out of fail free option, Silkstrike.For DPS, Golden Gun - because, while it may not be ridiculous without Celestial Nighthawk, this build does a good super > weapon DPS rotation.

• Gambler’s Dodge part of our loop for background damage and melee.

• Snare bomb - for weaken and radiant

• Swarm Grenade -for scorch (see weapons).

• Threaded Specter - defensive / offensive option we are built to spam.

• Stylish Executioner or Gunpowder Gambler - Stylish Executioner would have formerly seemed like survivability overkill with a build that can spam clones, but then they gave us customized difficulties and Mythic. Gunpowder Gamble does give us an extra fragment slot.

• Hope - More clone army.

• Dawn - for radiant.

• Purpose - defense.

• Solitude - debuff and make tangles. This might seem a little redundant when you see my weapon recommendations, but, I feel it provides a debuff gap if your loop falls off.

• Protection - don’t go clubbing without it. But seriously, this build has a lot of healing, clones, and invisibility..but it has fewer options for damage reduction.

A Primary with Burning Ambition - For whatever reason, burning ambition’s scorch DoTs are treated as weapon damage for the purposes of Speedloader’s. Incandescent does not seem to work the same way. Higher rpm weapons also tend to work better. So our options are:

• Ahab Char

• Stars in Shadow

• Yeartide Apex

• Agape

I don’t like bows but Pre Astyanax IV is worth testing if you do.

Festival Flight - This area denial frame is particularly good with slice. We can proc that a lot with all the dodging and wildly swinging the weapon can debuff whole groups. For your 4th column, most of the perks work here - frenzy, one for all, vorpal, attrition orbs, or elemental honing.

The only imperfect ones are - hatchling because it doesn’t count as direct weapon damage for our exotic (only really an issue on add clear) and binary orbit because we are more usually getting either add kills with this gl or using it to put dots on a boss (and not killing them).

If you didn’t grab a Festival Flight, this build very much works with Lost Signal.

The three key things about area denial frames for this build are:

• The Speedloader class regen loop falls apart a bit when targets are too easy, in general. Either in a team where multiple people are helping pile on damage or when you’re at evenish level. But the smaller tick DoT of an area denial frame works best around that. You can spray a bunch of adds with an area denial and you’ll see your dodge recharging. But if you send a wave frame that one shots the group, it is a flop.

• On a harder target, you can apply the damage ticks with the area denial and swap to a primary that also has damage over time, and

• They build transcendence fast

If you haven’t used area denial frames before, note that their dots don’t stack on more than one target. E.g. if you hold them steady and hit the whole stream on a boss, only one set of ticks applies. But if you blanket a path they are moving through, they will get damaged by the multiple pools.

Dragon’s Breath has some damage over time which works with the loop and scorch which stacks with burning ambition and our grenade for ignitions. It isn't essential though. It becomes hard to amp up our dodge recharge much more than we already do combining the DoTs from our primary and secondary. Other exotic solar heavies are fine too.

Armor Sets As you can imagine, 2x Bushido working off of readied or reloaded weapon kills works very well with a reloading exotic and a weapon swap rotation.

2x Smoke Jumper. With attrition orbs etc. massive uptime on extra damage resistance.

Armor Stats

• Weapon as high as you can

• Melee to 100. Going over doesn’t do much because we are mainly using it for a buff/debuff.

• Class decently high because Speedloader’s direct damage perk scales with class. 80ish is plenty though. That gets you down to just a few seconds if you’re hitting your shots.

• Grenade is nice because it stacks up for our ignitions.

Armor Mods Mostly self-explanatory but:

• Head - though we sometimes kill targets outright with our small grenade launcher, in harder content, it is as often a combo of its damage over time and our clones/threadlings taking them out. So I don’t think having a siphon for it is as useful as more ammo.

• Chest - Ammo gens because we really eat ammo with all the dodge reloading.

• Legs - We don’t need a heal or shield regen mod here, as we have so much defense between invisible, damage resist, healing, and clones. Even in mythic, I found we did get to an overkill at some point.

To connect the dots, we have:

• Clone army

• Invisibility

• Restoration or Woven Mail

• Heal clip w sometimes skipped reload time (still works w/ Speedloader)

• Bushido heals

• Smoke Jumper damage resist on orbs

Barrier - radiant

Overload - Ahab Char and anti-rapidfire

Unstoppable - Dragon’s Breath is inherently antiUnstop. And/or ignitions.

These artifact perks are particularly useful and require nothing you wouldn’t already be doing:

• Fever and Chill - we could drop Facet of Dawn because of this BUT that cuts you out of

• Elemental Benevolence - additional help to loop dodge

• Cauterized Darkness - nice big damage buff on strand debuffed targets for our solar weapons
