Rockets embed themselves in struck targets and periodically eject incendiary fuel that inflicts Scorch. The longer this weapon goes without firing, the more fuel the next rocket contains. Strong against [Stagger] Unstoppable Champions.

Armor

Solar final blows recharge your Barricade. While you have a Solar Super equipped, casting your Barricade unleashes waves of Solar energy that damage and scorch targets. Combatants damaged and Guardians defeated by these waves are enveloped in a Sunspot.

Build Details

How It Works

This build never stops being fun and effective. Whether you are trying grind some sweet Gambit or a Grand Master. This build can do it all. Below is a detailed breakdown of armor, subclass, and weapons.

Subclass - Solar Super - Burning Maul. This is an underrated super (Damn you Behemoth) Jump - Strafe - Longest distance jump, most control Barricade - Rally - The entire build runs around this ability. So we go for the one with the lowest cooldown. Melee - Doesn't really matter. Run what you like. I use shoulder charge as a possible chance to cause ignitions. Grenade - Thermite - Best grenade to apply scorch.

Aspects Sol Invictus - If the build runs between your barricade and Khepri's Horn, Sol Invictus is the blood that ties them together. Build doesn't work without it. Roaring Flames - This is gravy. More damage is more damage. That said consecration works well here too.

Fragments Okay... I was gonna break down the fragments here, but if you can't understand why we are running fragments to improve scorch and ignitions you shouldn't play this build :)

Side note - No I am not running Ember of Torches. We are running fragments
for the consistency and focus of the build... Ignitions!

Weapons Kinetic Slot - Bold Endings - Solid primary ammo weapon with perks focused on consistency and ability uptime. Energy Slot - Aberrant Action - This is the weapon you will be using more often than not. Especially if you are engaging in end game content. Power Slot - Dragon's Breath - Awesome weapon. Better damage than it gets credit for. Scorch and free ignitions. If you are in a pure damage cycle put a sniper in your kinetic slot and go ham.

Armor Fragments Helm - Special Ammo Finder - Do you really need this explained? Solar Siphon - Most of your weapon kills will be solar Hands - Firepower/Heavy Handed - Make orbs any way you can Chest - Solar Reserves - More rockets. Both sidearm and Dragons Breath. Legs - All mods here are for ability uptime. You could swap Restoration for Recuperation if you are bad at the game. Class Item - Reaper - All you do is activate your class item. These are free orbs. Utility Kickstart - More uptime for the entire reason of your build. If you are struggling with ammo economy this can be swapped with Special Ammo Finisher.

Gameplay Loop
  1. As always don't die!
  2. Use your barricade to scorch and ignite enemies.
  3. Aberrant Action to crush baddies between barricades. Plus heals.
  4. Make sure to stand in sunspots for the restoration and increased ability regen. This is critical! 5.Tell the Warlock to drop a rift you are trying to carry.
  5. Use shoulder charge and grenade as a vehicle to spread scorch and make orbs.
  6. Super and Dragons Fire can be used to DPS boss or add clear... cuz we're versatile!
