How It Works

This Build is all about 1 thing getting and using your super as much as possible. With the New Super ‘Song of Flame’ you gain numerous benefits while you super is active including;

  • 90% DR for you and 30% DR for nearby allies
  • Radiant for you and allies
  • Allies gain Additional Ability recharge rate
  • Kinetic and Solar weapons will scorch targets
  • A new Grenade and melee ability that deal pretty good damage.

So you’re basically like a moving Well of radiance except instead of healing you have improved abilities. The 90% DR for you and 30% for your allies really is immaculate for any hard content especially since you can move around with it. Since we are so strong in our super and almost unkillable. I’m aiming to get my super back as quick as possible so I can continuously spam Song of Flame when I get it.

So the Exotic of choice is Mantle of Battle Harmony. Now, kills with solar weapons give 1.5-4.5% energy to your super. Since this doesn’t have a cooldown, the only thing limiting you on how quick you get your super back, is you. Ideally you’d be aiming for an exotic class item with Spirits of Apotheosis and Harmony. That way you still get the benefit from killing with solar weapons, and now when Song of Flame ends you’ll be able to spam your grenades and melees for some extra damage and immediate super energy.

Gameplay Loop

Throw a grenade at a group of enemies to proc both devour and become amplified. Use a melee on any target that isn’t unraveled to start spreading your darkness debuff. Then start killing with your solar weapon to rapidly gain super energy. In the mean time, with every kill you gain grenade energy from devour, so whenever you get that grenade back, throw another. These grenades give you back a ton of ability energy so make sure to phoenix dive often to keep that solar buddy around.

Whenever you have a boss or miniboss spawn, or there’s a large wave of enemies, pop that super to shred through them all while staying basically unkillable. If you don’t have your super available, pop transcendence to deal more damage and amp up your survivability. With Transcendence giving you 20% DR, Surrounded giving you 15% DR, and being amplified giving you 30% DR you’ll be taking 52% less damage, and that doesn’t even account for your resistance mods.
