Destiny 2 Hunter BuildLorentz Driver Hunter
PvEThis weapon marks targets with an automated targeting system. Final blows on marked targets generate a telemetry pattern. Collecting a telemetry pattern grants ammo to this weapon. Collecting 3 telemetry patterns without dying grants this weapon bonus damage for a long duration and refills the magazine.
Your Void weapons gain Volatile Rounds after you emerge from being invisible. When you are invisible and defeat a combatant while using a finisher, all of your weapons gain bonus damage; you and your nearby allies gain a reserve overshield and improved class ability regeneration. These reserve overshields can be deployed by using a class ability.

This time I’m not taking a class exotic. Instead I’m going for Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk. Now I know that the class exotic does have spirit of Gyrfalcon but it doesn’t have all the same benefits. With this exotic we gain Volatile rounds for our void weapons whenever we exit invisibility. That part is the same on both exotics, however with the chest piece, we can also perform a finisher while invisible to gain 35% extra weapon damage for 6 seconds and a void overshield. So this build will have incentives to use those finishers. This season in particular this exotic is a bit overkill, but I wanted a build that would last even when Volatile rounds aren’t easy to obtain.
I went with the Proximity Ward class mod to gain an Overshield to make the finishers even safer to perform, and I’m bringing Facet of Defiance so that finishers will trigger an elemental explosion and applies a debuff matching our super. I tend to like tether in most scenarios so this will make nearby enemies volatile.
I then take Threaded spike to easily sever enemies making them deal less damage, and to create tangles so that I can also bring the grapple grenade and get a free grenade charge by grappling to the tangles. Both of these cause melee damage which is why I’m also bringing Facet of Dawn to become radiant by dealing melee damage.
We are still opting for Facets of Purpose and Protection for More survivability. But I also like to bring Threaded specter. That way when we use our class ability, we create a decoy that will distract enemies and create threadlings which will be really strong in act 2 and 3.
Of course I’m also taking Stylish executioner for it’s perfect synergy with our exotic. That way killing debuff enemies will make you invisible. Allowing you to constantly have Volatile rounds.
Lorentz Driver will Occasionally mark a target, and this happens whether you have the weapon stowed or readied. That means you can use your abilities, Alternate Special weapon, or even your heavy to get kills and start working up those Telemetry Patterns. Once I collect 2-3 I pull out Lorentz Driver since it now becomes a weapon built for any situation. At 3 stacks, the extra 50% damage boost means this thing hits like a tank, not seriously, this thing does as much damage as a heavy linear with BNS active. (Side by side of 3 stacks of Telemetry and BNS clips) So you can easily melt minibosses or simply kill any enemy to cause those implosions wiping out groups of enemies.
