Targets damaged by Arcane Needle emit a suspending detonation when defeated. Landing multiple Arcane Needles or Needlestorm on the same target immediately triggers a larger, more powerful detonation. Defeating suspended targets grants melee energy. Your Arcane Needles are strong against [Shield-Piercing]Barrier Champions.

How It Works
  • I wanted to put together a build that allows you to deal a ton of Boss DPS, but doesn’t leave you high and dry in the mid game rotation while trying to get to the damage phase.

  • So we’re going to a Strand build that uses Mataiodoxía. We can now use our melee to mark a target, upon killing that target we create a suspending burst. Then kill suspended targets to gain back melee energy. We then bring the Aspect, The Wanderer to suspend targets with our tangles making it easier to gain back more melee energy.

  • Since I recently got the Euphony, I’m aiming to deal a ton of burst damage with Threadlings. So I’m bringing Weave’s call and the threadling grenade to create more threadlings and thread of Evolution to have them deal more damage.

  • And with Threads of Generation and Fury we will consistently get back more melee and grenade energy.

Gameplay Loop
  • The Pre-damage phase loop goes like this, use your melee often to create suspending bursts to stop enemies from attacking you. Whenever you create a tangle, either shoot it or throw it at a group of enemies to suspend them and gain more melee energy. Throw your grenade or use your rift whenever there’s a larger group of enemies to quickly take them out.

  • As for the Damage phase, You want to Pop your super, then your rift, then throw your grenade to increase the damage you can deal with Euphony. If you have a BNS Grenade launcher, I like to swap to it to shoot a full mag before going to town with Euphony. To give you a ton of burst DPS and Total Damage.
