summary
- This build thrives on fast kills and ramp up damage. after one kill with your knife (using 2 if its a bit high health or getting them weak enough to finish them off with one) you'll find that each lightweight knife kill in short succession can easily wipe through enemies thanks to Ophidia Spathe. With Knock 'em down on top of that, each knife kill fills you back to full, therefore letting you wipe through enemies in quick succession with little difficulty. Grenade is there as a quick backup scorch option for when others wont cut it, letting you breeze through all enemies alike
- For champions or harder enemies, using unwavering duty to spread scorch to that champion, slamming them with double knives, then having dodge refilled by ember of singeing to keep it full, and then dodging to refill melee charge allows for a high damage loop of scorching and igniting with your knives.
testing
- Testing this build, I found that once you get one or two kills, each knife was able to one shot wizards in a flurry, and I was able to reach an average of 1.1k DPS against these hoards. the gameplay loop was quick and easy, and if preferred, you can swap to weighted knives for more dodge charges if that better suits you. However, I felt that lightweight allowed for a more fast paced and enjoyable gameplay loop.
Fragments and aspects
- Knock em down holds the builds together, allowing for instant regen of your melee when radiant, which is done with lightweight knives + ember of torches.
- on your mark encourages dodging/precision and helps keep you healed, making you unstoppable and allowing for even more damage
- Ember of torches lets you grant radiant to both you and your allies, which then activates ember of benevolence for more ability regen. ember of tempering encourages using your other weapons and helps keep you and teammates healthy so the loop doesn't die prematurely. Finally, ember of Searing and Singeing encourages scorching to boost melee and class energy even more, and keeps the knives constant with recharges and gamblers dodge recharges
Weapon use
- Monte Carlo will be your go to, able to generate melee energy along with having its own melee option as a quick backup. use this to build melee energy when you are low on energy, need ammo for your shotgun, for enemies aren't worth scorch but need to reach knife range.
- IKELOS_SG_v1.0.3 will be for when enemies get a bit too close for your liking and you cant effectively use your charged melee. with pugilist and one two punch, this lets you both buff and be buffed by your melee, making a good choice when you want to swap between shotgun and knife throws, breezing through enemies.
- Unwavering duty manages and hold all of your scorching together, helping you deal with tougher enemies or bosses. with burning ambition and incandescent, this lets you easily apply scorch in a large radius, scorching piles of enemies with hardly any work and making easy pickings for you.
Armour
- Full ferropotent armour is used here for the easy and comfort of ammo generation, and is an all around reliable choice for armour, letting you keep all 3 weapons full and encouraging using all weapons. However, Half sword master half ferropotent could also be effective for this build, so use whichever you prefer.
- The artifact, mods, and stat priority are all just general suggestions, however I generally felt that these are what worked best
- To conclude, if you like fast knife gameplay and rapid damage stacks that snowball and destroy hoards of enemies, then this is the build for you. with easy scorches, instant melee regen, and a fun gameplay loop, you'll never get bored! hope you enjoy and favourite it to come back and give it a try!
For lower health enemies: 1. Lower health to within range with Monte Carlo. 2. Kill with knife for radiant. 3. Do the same with the next enemy 4. watch your melee and radiant be instantly replenished, and enjoy the fast loop.
For higher health enemies: 1. lower health and scorch with either Fusion grenade or Unwavering Duty 2. Kill with knife double knife for radiant and fragment activation 3. repeat with either monte for energy if low or dodge and keep scorching with Unwavering 4. Repeat and watch the health drop
