Build Details
Hello, my name is Matt, and I’ll walk you through this build in detail.
To start with a quick overview: my initial goal was to maximize survivability by maintaining constant Restoration, and keeping a Healing Grenade available for emergencies. As I refined the build, I discovered the strong damage potential from Scorch and Ignitions, which eventually became the core focus. With that in mind, let’s break everything down.
SUPER I'll begin with the super.
Song of Flame is the clear choice for solo content and boss encounters. It greatly enhances survivability, making it easier to maintain pressure during DPS phases without risking death.
ASPECTS Now, the aspects.
Touch of Flame is extremely valuable because it enhances the Healing Grenade, turning it into a reliable safety tool for near-death situations. The improved Restoration uptime significantly increases survivability during aggressive play.
I chose Hellion because the remaining Aspect options don’t synergize well with Praxic Blade, especially since the weapon struggles to consistently track airborne enemies. Hellion provides additional passive damage and Scorch application, which contributes to overall DPS and helps trigger Ignitions more frequently.
FRAGMENTS For Fragments, Ember of Searing and Ember of Mercy form the core synergy. Since Praxic Blade’s Impact Core applies Scorch on melee hits, Mercy will consistently generate Firesprites on kills. Thanks to Searing, each Firesprite pickup grants Restoration, creating a strong loop of sustain during combat.
To maintain this loop efficiently, Ember of Solace is essential, as it extends the duration of Restoration and Radiant effects. This helps offset Firesprite generation cooldowns and allows near-permanent Restoration as long as you continue securing kills.
Finally, I chose Ember of Ashes to increase the number of Scorch stacks applied to targets, accelerating Ignitions and improving overall damage output.
WEAPONS For Praxic Blade, I run Offensive Form, Forceful Blade, Impact Core, and Hyperblade.
Offensive Form and Forceful Blade are both selected to maximize overall damage output, with Impact Core mentioned before being the key component that makes the entire build function properly. It ensures consistent Scorch application, which directly feeds into the Restoration and Ignition loops described earlier. Hyperblade is particularly useful for mobility, allowing me to quickly close the gap between enemies and maintain aggressive momentum during combat.
As a secondary weapon, I use High Tyrant, mainly because of actual artifact's perk that allows Pulse Rifles to stun Overload Champions. This provides valuable utility in endgame content where champion control is essential, while still maintaining solid mid-range damage.
For long-range engagements, I rely on the Refurbished A499, which I consider a very strong option due to its high damage output and excellent reload speed when paired with the current Artifact. It helps cover scenarios where getting close with Praxic Blade would be impossible, ensuring the build remains effective at any combat distance.
EXOTIC ARMOR I use Dawn Chorus because it significantly boosts Scorch damage and improves the effectiveness of Ignitions. Since every attack in this build applies Scorch, Dawn Chorus provides consistent and noticeable damage gains.
LEGENDARY ARMOR Sage Protector helps reduce Healing Grenade cooldown through consistent melee usage, which pairs naturally with Praxic Blade’s playstyle.
Ferropotent grants 10% damage resistance whenever health is regenerated, which synergizes perfectly with the build’s constant Restoration uptime, adding another layer of survivability.
STATS PRIORITY I prioritize Weapon stat first to scale Praxic Blade’s damage output. Grenade comes next to ensure frequent access to Healing Grenades, and Super is the final priority so Song of Flame is ready for every major DPS phase.
This build offers strong survivability, consistent Restoration uptime, and excellent Scorch-based damage, making it ideal for solo play and high-pressure encounters.
- Engage enemies at close range using Praxic Blade to apply Scorch and secure kills.
- Kills generate Firesprites, which grant Restoration, keeping your survivability high.
- As Scorch stacks build up, Ignitions will trigger, increasing your area and overall damage.
- Use your Healing Grenade only in emergencies or when Restoration drops.
- Activate Song of Flame during high-pressure encounters or boss DPS phases to safely deal damage.
