Let me tell you why PRIMARY (Not exotic primary) sucks for this build. NO TRANSCENDENCE ENRGY. SIMPLE AS THAT.

What about Khvostov? Khvostov is pretty good especially with Facet of Grace to get more transcendence energy for each kill, and it can also pick up orbs from far away because it has shoot to loot, so you can get the stronger ricochet rounds very safe. But, (yeah, here comes the but part...) It's worse when you are playing in a fireteam, because your teammates will yoink some of your ricochet round kills so Facet of Grace doesn't work that good. Also, with warlock having terrible DR stacking, slice on The Call will dramatically help with survivability on minibosses while running into group of adds like I'm showing in the clips. More importantly, since I was using Facet of Justice to create explosion with ability kills, use arcane needles, transcendence grenade and hellion to kill adds for some satisfying chain reaction does happen quite a lot. If I use Khvostov, most kills will be picked up by the ricochet rounds and not the abilities. So I will need to drop this fragment for Facet of Grace.

*With Act III active and some mods for Auto Rifle!!!!! Using Khvostov is not bad because of new artifact perks that grants DR and DAMAGE BOOST by just SHOOTING THE GUN, so you can change Facet of Justice to Grace if you want. But I still love my version better because you can get satisfying explosion with it :)

However, for normal activity (-5 ~ -10), double special will perform the same but not everyone loves playing double rocket sidearm because you are always on the pressure of having ammo issues (unless you are used to it) if you are not careful. So, some primary alternative choices are presented in the video, but I want to provide more here.

Kinetic: Khovstov (The only exotic primary that's good), Rufus's Fury (Pugilist + Frenzy), Imminence (Pugilist/Slice + Desperate Measures) Energy: Nullify (Firefly + Incandescent), Non-Denouement (Dragonfly + Voltshot), Luna's Howl & Zaouli's Bane (Incandescent), Corrasion & Ikelos SG V1.0.3 (Voltshot)

My 1st iteration of this build is this combination but it comes with major drawbacks. 1) You are not picking up those elemental pickup BEFORE you have transcendence because you are too easy to die even with devour active 2) After extensive testing, the most lacking part about getting transcendence is on dark energy, not light energy. So picking up Firesprite, Ionic Traces and Void Breach are not helpful at all. However, 10% dark energy with Facet of Honor is super helpful when you are building up transcendence from scratch or just after your transcendence ends.

In conclusion: Facet of Awakening doesn't contribute anything to this build because light energy is generally overflowed and the risk of picking elemental pick up is too high before having transcendence. This is why I use Facet of Sacrifice and not Facet of Devotion, because light energy source are too much and too reliable to get, unlike dark energy.

My 1st iteration of this build used Vortex grenade as well. I thought having vortex sucking enemy up and use arcane needle to kill and suspend them really quickly sounds really good when transcendence is not ready yet, and it will generate good transcendence energy. Sounds good on paper, but here's some problem.

1) Still too little light energy compared to Storm grenade. With Facet of Dominance, storm grenade hit will jolt targets and jolt damage on 2~3 enemies can sometimes generate more than 50% light energy by itself... Vortex grenade simply can't keep up with that. 2) Facet of Dominance. Using storm grenade can jolt overload before entering transcendence and it does help a lot for a solo/team build. Also, you get the full effect on warlock with this fragment. 3) Transcendence grenade can do the same thing but better. This build gets transcendence so fast that you probably only have time for 1 grenade before transcendence, and storm grenade outputs much better damage compared to vortex, especially after Facet of Dominance. For a 1 off thing most of the time, storm grenade with jolt is better than vortex with weaken. 4) Storm Grenade + Indebted Kindness = Frequent Amplified. With Episode 1 still around for a month, being amplfied can get 30% free DR with Galvanic Armor which is a plus for the current episode.
